Would you part with the original clutch?

georgiaridgerunner 79

Id try getting that engine to idle lower
Those predator engines arent ideal for a lot of things as the quality control standards are a bit loose
Im certain that if you setup a deflection guage youd find the pedator shaft to have quite a bit of deflction
The original engine will more than likely be considerably less
Also the predator engines low idle cant vary as much 200 r.p.m from engine to engine
Not to mention that predator most likely has more torque that as well could be an issue
I think you said the original engine was 6h.p. that predator is is more than twice that

georgiaridgerunner 79

Hey guy friendly tip
On those square head bolts
You can use an extension backwards

Victory First

What was the model Wisconsin engine that you took off ??? Do you still have it fella ?? Thanks

Jeremy Paluck

I am a simple man
I see ford ranger and I click like

Sergio Grudl

no es una estauracion es una verguenza, tirar y poner nuevo

Rustbucket Revival

Awsome video really enjoyed watching 🤙

David Taylor

Fitting this almost antique machine with a modern engine will miss the point of resurrection. You didn't even examine the engine.

captainjerk

You could have a new aluminum flywheel bell poured and machined to your specifications.

Carnaxus

The clutch was pinging because the Predator has a different RPM curve than the original Wisconsin. Why the hell would you put a Harbor Freight engine on something so awesome?

Dry Roasted

I think the Predator was a good choice for his purposes.

Wendy's_ Anime

You turned it into a lawn mower-

Cedric Harris

Did anyone noticed that the fiber spacer was missing on the mag coupling on the Wisconsin engine? 😕

Cedric Harris

I'm a genuine Wisconsin man ,and it's sad to see the person didn't put a little effort in the Wisconsin engine to get it running. Probably all it would've needed is to clean the points in the mag ,and clean the carb .These Wisconsin's are easy to get running.

Brian Eakes

Part of the restoration of the project is to rebuild the old Wisconsin motor

A tractor built by your own hands …https://youtu.be/0D5Br4HRp5U

finnermusic

Not a real restoration when leaving the engine (hardest part) out of it!

TrickyToes

NOOO not a harbor freight engine

426 SUPER BEE

I would just replace the tubes in the tires. USE THEM UNTILL THEY COME APART

JOSÉ DE OLIVEIRA ABREU

POHA, O MANE NÃO PASSOU NEM UM AR COMPRIMIDO PARA TIRAR A SUJEIRA DE PÓ QUE ESTÁ NA PEÇA.

Sean gast

Man I could have had that engine running in less than 2 hours and you dont really need carb cleaning kits all you need is a ultrasonic cleaner It probably wouldnt cost anything that engine would be more reliable than your new china commie engine

Greg Vasquez

great restoration project!!

MrJeep75

Nice job

John Jenkins

Just stick to Murray's and other junk for these " restorations"

Jimmy B's

Maybe bike brakes?

Jimmy B's

Build a rudimentary clutch brake.

Jimmy B's

12 point socket will take care of that square head bolt. But the size will be off. You're fitting it to the corners. Not the flats.

Jason Ozment

I was excited to see this I thought it would be amazing to bring it back to life to restore it. I still think you should

Wolf Wolf

I wonder why are you not cleaning up the springs and body of the clutch before puting it to gether with the new motor…?

Vince S

You should just Get rid of the syntrifical clutch altogether and put a clutch pedal that applies tension to the belt when you release it , with a big Spring just like a regular lawn tractor

bearbon2

Nice tractor but you lost me as soon as that chinese engine showed up.

Airplane Doctor

Hey, lets refurbish a 1940’s made in USA garden tractor for a video but throw a cheap Chinese engine in it to save time, effort, and money rebuilding the original…..

ADAM MOSHER

Wish I seen this video sooner than now I had a trencher that I sent to the scrap yard you could have had

James Beasley

Sold rebuilt motor be worth more

malelpn37

The minute you decided to swap the engine. It no longer became a restoration

SERGEY SMITH

for the next time all original parts has be cleaned

Wayne Pollard

Sandals and socks with shorts ?

Bryant Fry

At least your front bearings are sealed for long life, and are double row ball bearings.

Connie Pickren

Also Suggestion After flushing trany and rear end, use Lucas oil, works amazing.

Connie Pickren

Just found your site. Like it very much so far, kindred spirit. Thanks for sharing from Lake Seminole in extreme S.W. GA.
