40 Year Old Tractor… Will It Start??

The video starts out with Daddy Cornstar answering a commonly asked question in the comments. After that, DC and Cooper jump into putting the corn head back together. Once the corn head was put together, DC and Cooper did a final run through, greased it, and then called it a night.

The next day DC was not feeling very well, so he decided to stay in the house while I prepared to transfer corn around. After shoveling away snow and frozen chunks of corn, the augers were ready to go. After that, I started shuffling equipment from the main heated shop to the big machine shed and vice versa. After a few hours, we finally got all the equipment shuffled around.

Thanks for watching!

To find a failing maxi. Get two oh 2×2 x 1/8 inch plates of steel and small C clamp. A clamp off the emergency hose so air cannot flow into the chamber til you get no more back feed some time you can hear it putting your ear to the chambers

Howdy Cole, We absolutely Love ya and your family, we have been turning everyone on to ya. When I was a young'en we farmed in Prairie du Chien Wis, our 2,000 Farm is now part of Wyalusing state park. I grew up very different from our kids, (city kids) I very much relate to being the gravity wagon hauler. We to combined all night, came in only to get food and because we were girls, get more toilet paper for the field. Ya! .. This was the seventies, and we only had gravity wagons, If you were lucky the best spot was to sit, was in the back of the wagon and ride back to the conveyor and corn silo. So,,, laying there in the wagon (after dark mostly at midnight) you could look up at the stars, I remember them being so spectacular. So cold, and crisp, the smell of the corn and diesel fuel. The pink corn shafts flouting through the air. Oh man….! I miss it… so my question? All that land do you go hunting on the farm and if you do,,, what do you hunt. Thanks to the cornstar family and keeping my memories alive…………

The Buiscut Master

Nice vid god bless y’all

I just thought of an interesting observation regarding your equipment. Some who have the same…thoughts about cars and trucks will understand this too. My observation (and forgive me if you've covered this already) is that looking over your fleet of your farm vehicles and except for your great looking newest tractor and maaaaybeeee that combine, I see a distinct lack of computerized farm equipment like has happened to cars and trucks since the late 1990's or so on your farms. I'm not talking about the computers you use that were installed as an aftermarket GPS and all of that.
I recently read an article where farmers who had purchased those green tractors everyone knows about and were having computer problems with those vehicles but had to sue the manufacturer just to gain access to the information that would allow them to fix the tractor instead of the dealer. I guess computers are expensive…NO I KNOW that is expensive especially after reading that article. And without the right equipment is difficult to work on as well. I see you work on your own equipment and the condition shows LOTS of pride of ownership there too. Is that a consideration for you guys when you're looking at possibly upgrading or buying new equipment and why your fleet is red in color as opposed to green???

Kevin Amstutz

For seals get the cross reference for national or CR ect.
