Hi Sir, Thank you very much for your excellent tutorial : Using Datevalue function with text in excel. With your help I was able extract the day from the Date. The formula is little bit big but it works for a beginner like me. =TEXT((DATEVALUE(G7&"-"&MONTH($I$3)&"-"&YEAR($I$3))),"ddd") where value of G7 is number combining with value $I$3 is text is July 2021.
