Seattle's Changing Maritime Industry

Seattle is a maritime town. While residents and visitors may just enjoy the view, those who work in the industry know it`s a vital resource for the Emerald City. While the job market may have taken a tumble in recent months, the ‘Help Wanted` sign is out along the waterfront. This story probes how the maritime industry is booming in Seattle and how you can get in on the action on the water.
This story originally aired on the Seattle Channel program City Stream. I shot and edited it, working with Penny Legate who produced it. It was a great opportunity to learn about the harbor, and do some filming on boats and in industrial facilities along the waterfront.

Good job. Wish I was younger. As a flatlander I was always intrigued by the seas of the world.
