iHi Barb, Why am I getting an error for H7: =(C10-VLOOKUP(C10,VL,1))*VLOOKUP(C10,VL,3)

David Janson

This is very helpful. Thank you for sharing.

Can u share the file, what is VL inside d vlookup formula, why it is not working in my excel ?

I think this is calculating the wrong commission rates for each range. Instead of putting the upper value of the commission range in column B. I think you should put the lower value. Starting with $0. This way you use the correct percentage for each range, and you won't need the IF statement anymore.

This is a weird sliding scale example, where the more you sell the less you earn. Normally (in the real world) it works the other way round.
