In this day and age I really wish that more officers would actually research their job before going hands-on. Let this officer be an example for all other officers that don’t understand the law but then act on their own feelings. We all know the SC has ruled that they cannot ID the passenger. He is not part of tge traffic stop.
It's lawful to "ask" for ID anytime. It's not lawful to demand it unless a officer has reasonable articular suspicion that the person has committed is in the process or is about to commit a crime.

Officer said he gets paid by the hour when asked to go Google the law. That's like saying "I'll show you. It's no skin off me to prove you wrong!" So unprofessional and disrespectful.
