Do they insure homes because all of my life I have had a combined home and auto coverage.
Hmm my insurer (infinity insurance) asks me to update my miles and my driving situation every year . They don't have me take a picture of the odometer . I presume they base part of cost to insure on the miles driven .
I have USAA on 2 vehicles. I ran the calculations on Mile Auto. I could save $420. a year, but, I have to question; would it be worth the risk with respect to Customer Service and Claims..?? USAA $163. per month, Mile Auto $128. per month based on 8500 miles per year. Is the additional $420 a year a burden? No.
Consumer Reports ranks insurance companies and I think that should be main source of information when selecting a company.

I know that accidents went up during the pandemic because the people that were driving, were driving much faster on the roads because the roads were empty. People had the space to drive as fast as they wanted. But, are the accident rates still up today? Like in the last six months?
