It was dumb Samsung downgraded the Plus series so people can buy the Ultra. There are many out there who don't like boxie phones with curved screens but like flagship phones. So we are either stuck with a mid range S Plus phone or with an Ultra model we don't like.

I love my S22 ultra. This is my first phone in 9 years. I'm enjoying this phone as I did when I got the note 3. I love the square form but I also like the non square phones as well.

I'm glad they're finally doing this. I love my baseline S21 other than the battery life, but the S22 Ultra is just too big of a device for me. I was hoping Samsung would be able to make the small model a flagship with bigger battery, LTPO screen going down to 1Hz, and better cooling to improve battery life in a small form factor (Asus did it with their Zenfone so surely Samsung can pull it off). This is all looking promising and maybe I'll upgrade this year!
