You gotta love the old tractors of the seventy
Happy New Year Mate🎆🎇🥂🍾
This video is one example of what makes BigTractorPower so great! Thankx Jason!!!!!
That was good! I'm an equal opportunity tractor fan, so hard to choose one! Thank you.
if they did have an issue.the farmer usually could fix it himself or have it done locally for a reasonable price.now you pay 1 /10 of the equipment cost for every frequent repair on newer equipment.good old "corperate america GREED". design flaws into the equipment, then dont let ANYBODY else fix it, but your friendly greedy dealer.
Wow, JD 6030 running as much HP to the ground as many articulated 4wds.
Born in 62 love the old tractors ihc 350 460 574 656 706 766 1066 spent a lot of time on them all great memories
In 1972, would be a hard choice between JD 4020 and IH 1066. It was, at least to me, the age of the coolest tractors and I like them all. Great video.
Myself being born in 1971 wasn’t old enough to remember these tractors coming out but I owned a allis 200 and would love to own a 2255
My favorite would have to be the Allis Chalmers. I was born in 72 and that is the brand my grandfather used on the farm.
Boy that big IH 4WD looked like a beast. Sure miss the days of sitting up in the cab of our Turbo IH 1206, disking all day long, listening to college football on Saturday AM radio. Turning that soil over, watching the smoke roll out of the stack, those were the days!
I saw the Fox chopper behind the Deutz. I spent the better part of my youth pulling a Fox chopper
Hi Jason. What a treat. Really like all of them. But I have a soft spot for the Deutz.
Did Massey ferguson put out tractors in the 70s
The international 4166
Anything International Harvester !!!
The Deutz 13006 off course! The 06 séries design was way ahed for the time
For me, hands down #1 is the Ford 9600. Dad bought one in '74 or '75. Pulled a Ford (Pittsburgh) 5-16 model 142 plow & 20' model 230 disc. Grew up running that beast for more hours than I count. Loved that machine despite that the AC never worked for more than a month after the first year. Dad had it repaired at least 2 times; never lasted. My #2 would be a tie between Case 2470 (area farmer had 1; I always thought it was cool) and similar design IH 4166. Thanks for the memories, Jason. Keep 'em coming.
I bleed orange. Lol
It's a hard choice but for me it'd be a coin toss between the A-C 200 or the Versatile 900
The ford 9600
The case
The versatile
The international
6030 John Deere
In this time period the tractors that most commonly used here in South Africa was Massey Ferguson, Ford, Fiat, Volvo, International, Landini. John Deere just about entered the market through one of the Co Op's.
I grew up on a dairy farm in southern Ontario, Canada. My uncle and my Dads best friend both had a Ford 5000 tractor, I drove both of them and thought the world of them. We had all Massey-Ferguson tractors which I loved so much too; but, it was really cool I thought at the time to drive a different make once in awhile. 🙂
Not many case 770 or 870 out their my 870 is a diesel 336 cubes 12 speed power shift just like my 2470 dad bought 870 brand new 1972 he only game 7,000 for it brand new with cab
I got 2470 it's 1974 1972 case 870 I I'm a case man
