A 40/42 inch 16 x 9 second gen QD-Oled would be an instant buy for me. Would love to see a competitor for the smaller C2s and A90k
Will there also be 42" QD OLED TVs?
So 30% of the most accurate settings after D65 White point adjustment. Probably get around 1300 Nits. Still better than 1000 Nits. But….Samsung has to promise to not lower the brightness back down with a firmware update after people purchase these TVs and also way more accurate colors out of the box. The RED especially was way too saturated. And what I care about is increased APL. Hopefully it'll hit 250 Nits full field brightness because I like to watch Hockey. And so far, oled tech could not pass the Hockey test. Whites always have a bluish hue and sometimes a dim shade of white.
———————————————— S H A M E L E SS L I A R !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This guy is going to talk about "hacks" when his sales slides LIE and show the 22 model at 1,500nit ??
@45,1:25 seconds… (pause it)… notice in the background wall graphic.. "1500nit (22) ——-> over 2000nit (23)"
Samsung launched the s95B @ 1,500 Nit but then shortly after launch and hype firmware locked it to 1,000nit !!! So they now knowingly LIE in their own 2023 sales graphic?? How bad is that?
Anyone else pissed they nerfed the s95b brightness only to release a new model this year thats brighter?
This is t to je reason why one should not buy a first generation product!
Next year it will be even better with using only one glass substrate and much larger screens please bring 85” and 97” a reasonable prices!
People may recall that a firmware update dimmed the brightness of the 2022 QD-OLED. The question is; by how much? … 30%? Like the same as the new 30% brighter 2023 panels? Not sure, but people like myself didn't want to update the TV when they heard that. Lol.
The 2022 S95B had a problem, an inaccurate color display issue. The colors were not natural, oversaturated. I haven't heard if this problem has been fixed in 2023. LG don't have this problem.
Great video. There were some good questiins here and nice to hear the Samsung guy answer them. First video Ive seen with a Samsung tech guy talking us through whats new so thanks for the video.
Im pretty sure that "WOLED '21 product" at 5:30 is an A1 on the less vivid mode possible…XD
Was really hoping someone would come out with mY dream monitor: A qd oled 16:9 48 inch 4K (or maybe standard oled in 6k).
Editing photos would be amazing on that! Here’s hoping for 2024 ces 🤞
No Dts sound, no Dolby vision….. Great for watching only tv
Have you lost your minds?
PLEASE BRING BACK 3D TV!!!
If they come out with 8k I will buy one
Lmao, my "Traditional" oled has NEVER looked washed out or faded. This Samsung guy is talking out his a$$! All they did was take away the white oled and modified the blue oled light. Samsung still faking until they make it! What about the features?! Brightness means nothing if the tv features are lacking and or trash! Samsung got all yall fooled lmao!
We saw what happened with the s95b and they even nerfed the brightness and the build quality is pure trash lol! Keep trusting Samsung if you want lol!
I hope the 77" prices under $4500
2022 was a great year to be an AV enthusiast. I'm glad the momentum gained in 2022 is carrying forward into 2023. There's literally something for everyone: W-OLED with MLA tech; 2nd generation QD-OLED; and Hisense is killing it with the mini LED lineup for those who want bang for the buck and/or traditional LED LCD tech. We've come a long way from the 480i NTSC broadcast that I grew up with! However, I'll always be grateful for the reruns of Star Trek (TOS) on WZTV Fox 17 out of Nashville. 😁😁
Love again the questions. We consumers need more of that to make the right purchase.
In addition to the improvements and extra size, consumers will also get three options this year for who to buy QD-OLED from. TCL is joining Samsung & Sony in selling a QD-OLED. Which is good because if you like HDR and care about your formats, Samsung and Sony weren't ideal. Samsung doesn't have DV, Sony doesn't have HDR10+. TCL has both.
no dolby vision = no buy.
Hopefully they worked on their QC and don't release firmware updates that ruin the brightness like they did on the S95B.
I’ll gladly purchase a QD-Oled when:
1) It is available in an 83” or above size
2) It offers a 5yr warranty like LG G-Series
3) It uses Phosphorescent blue technology
I’m so frustrated there’s no 83” qd oled this here, I would’ve bought it on D1. I’m still using Samsung’s QN90A from 2021, which I hate because of its local dimming issues especially in game mode, but I’m already at 75” so I’m waiting for at least an 83”. If only LG would have put MLA in the 83” too ☹️ No Tv shopping in 2023 for me unfortunately, no one is giving me what I’m looking for
NOTHING in this video has anything to do with the size and availability mentioned in the thumbnail. Congratulation you've just wasted 10 minutes of my time with that clickbait and Samsung ads material.
I need a 42 inch so bad for my bedroom, I hope in 2024 my dream comes true!
Why are the UK still following the EU energy consumption? Did we leave or did we not really leave? Also can we get this guy back on camera to explain himself when we get bent panels and when Samsung ruin the TV with the third firmware update?
Will I DTM still be on when HGiG is enabled? Give me the option to turn off Samsung’s horrible DTM please!
Thank you for this video AVFORUMS! It’s great that we’re getting this type of information this year on QD-OLED from Samsung Display.
Samsung, make a 27-32 inch 240hz monitor and get rid of the curved crap, you already have two of those! 😀
Thank you, avforums! 🙂
And still no DV. No buy for me than
