It was a dangerous high risk funeral escort mission gone horribly wrong.

Metro State employees, eeerrr, CONTRACTORS, were spread out too far, WAY too effing far. As the funeral precession approached a congested crossroad  area, MS units took their preassigned positions to 50/50 the upcoming intersection. But trouble began almost immediately as traffic accumulated and they were quickly outnumbered.

Motor One raced into the melee, lights and sirens blaring, furiously waveing his arms, pointing his finger  and shouting commands.
Movers seemed to come from everywhere at once. An SUV from the East, a soccer mom in a mini van with a load of groceries from the West, a small sports car racing to beat the light from the North and an actual mover, a uuuhhh, moving van came from the South.
The MS Special Ops Team fought hard, desperately trying to hold back the heavy traffic but the writing was on the wall. They wouldnt win this battle.

Motor One rallied his officers and made a tactical withdrawal to make the next intersection. The BIG one.
He gunned his engine, tried to get some SPEEEED and gallantly raced ahead, blowing past the precession of mezmerized and duely impressed mourners. Many momentarily forgetting the loss of their loved one, to gaze, starstruck and awed by Motor Ones riding prowess, impressive physique and uniform as he ripped by just inches from them at 109 mph! Commander Dimwitte didnt have time to think about the attractive blonde eying him as he whizzed by. Only time for duty when youre the tip of the spear.
With Motor Ones leadership, MS units took the intersection in force and immediately attained control. But it was rush hour, and traffic was heavy. The precession lumbered on as movers strained against the MS blockade.
The high risk funeral escort team fought as if their lives, or at least their jobs depended on it.
But now late in the day and running low on ammo, eeerrrr, FUEL, it happened!
They were overrun!
There was nothing anyone could do. Traffic was just too heavy!
Movers were mixed with mourners, mourners mixed with movers.
Motor One, fighting hand to hand at this point, slammed his fists onto the hood of a Honda and defiantly shook his fist.
Realizing the precession was unmanned at the front he once again flogged his steed and tore North like a shot!
And then words that made the Metro State officers blood run cold crackled over their cell phone apps, because those heavy, bulky but official appearing radios they all drag around daily because it looks cool dont even work.
That whiney, nasally voice emenated from the speakers.
"Im out of GAAAAAAS!"

It was all over in less than a minute.

It was a dark day for Metro State.

In the aftermath, 1 MS officer and 3 mourners were lost, somewhere on the bad side of town. 2 movers had to U-turn out of the cemetary and that soccer mom in the mini van?
The ice cream melted and dinner was late for a family of 5.

The Metro State team gathered up the pieces and struggled on.
But Motor One was never the same.
Even after years of therapy, the flashbacks and night sweats still torment him.
