KaBoaters are a great beginners tractor. I hope you find a good mower deck, what we call a bush hog. This mowing deck could be your path to a larger tractor. I have a bush hog that can chop up any tree I can push over. I have a problem with a shrub tree around the edge of my fields.
I hope you have the tractor insured from Kubota with 250.00 dollars deductible. If your tractor rolls over or it burn up only costs you 250.00 dollars.
Just remember always keep your load low when moving a load in the bucket. The small tractors can tip over pretty easy, take it easy, and don't treat it like a big dozer or you'll break it. Chris is a great teacher and listen to him, and be safe.
I've owned 5 compact tractors, Ferguson TO20 ,New Holland TC29, John Deere 4200, Kubota L2800, John Deere 1025R w/backhoe. The Kubota handled heavier loads w the loader than the rest of them, the backhoe was very handy also on the jd1025r. But if I ever get another one will probably be a TYM or the Summit TX 25. Dealers are very close to me and the Summit has Mobil mechanics to come to you and no fees or any charges while under the 6yr warranty they have within 24 hrs. Saves from having to haul it in to the shop.
I’m glad for you getting a kubota as I have had a lot of John Deere over my 73 years and the dealer service has gone down hill they just don’t care anymore
Congrats Geoff. It’s going to come in very handy in deed. Take care & cheers🐨🦘🥰
It doesn’t matter which one comes out first I like both. Always look forward to more great content from both. Your friendship with each other makes both channels the best. You and Chris keep up the good work.
If you forget to complete the loop on the back, you will find out how much a pump costs for the hydraulics! – lol Handiest little tractor ever!
Congrats… you’re gonna love your Kubota TLB! It’s a game changer for your farm.
I have owned three of them over the past 20 years. I’ve never experienced a major failure on any of them.
Currently, I have the baby brother to yours… a BX23s.
My grapple is the same as your Landpride… except it is 54” wide. I’ve had it for 8 years and have learned a few tricks.
Here’s one that you might want to try… You’ll get a fuller load and a more secure grip on materials if you tilt it forward as you make contact with the material. Close the claw while it is tilted forward. (It will lift the materials into the grapple rather than just squeezing it.)
As you begin to lift the loader, tilt it fully backward. (That shifts the material weight onto the bottom tines.).
Then, squeeze the claw closed to maximum force. That will remove any slack from voids or shifting within the claw.
If you are carrying the weight very far, hit the closure button every once and awhile to take up any slack that may have occurred from material shifting within the grip.
Once again, you’re gonna live your Kubota TLB.
I saw the Vid where letsdig was Bustin your Dupa, don't worry about that, he was Born wit an Excavator at the end of his Pacifier….>LOL!~
Some of those smaller machines get a little Jerky, just slow down the RPM's a bit and think of it as an Extension of your hands & Feet, it takes time, just don't fight the Machine they do Bite Back…..Have fun with it!
saw mill next.. lol
enjoy the new toy… I like the fact that the back hoe comes off that easy. ours ( larger tractor) has a whole under carriage you have to lower and can be a pain to put on… thenyou have to take oof the 3 point control arms extra… John deer… when our 2305 goes we are looking to replace it with one like yours… John deer has been a pain to deal with any more for parts and service in this area..
Ideal tractor for the type of work you need it to do, I'm liking the way these units have become so much more versatile. Kubota have got a very good reputation with these compact units, I think they have really done there home work. Good buy BG. 🤗
Great addition to the Homestead !! It will increase your output 10 fold! Center of gravity is the most important aspect to keep in mind overturned tractors is the #1 cause of injuries in farming & land management. Please watch for " Bargain price " Implements especially mowers and others with rotating blades and shafts ie P.T.O. implements. You will have that big smiley face all day long when Kubota does the work and you do the thinking! Good fortune in all you encounter.
I own a 3301 with a few clicks over 500 hours on it. Set your hydro pressure to 2800 psi at wide open throttle and it will be around 2400 around 2k RPM where you find you will run it mostly for working the loader. I can promise you that that loader will be plenty strong to lift heaping scoops of dripping wet clay or sand with hardly a grunt out of the engine. Look online for the shims and a pressure gauge and it takes all of a half hour to set your hydro pressure. Absolutely zero issues with mine with 500+ hours on it since setting mine to 2800 psi. Also, get yourself a Piranha tooth bar for your bucket before ever using it. It will keep it from bending and you will thank me later for how easy it can dig full heaping scoops of material and cut roots and rip brush off flush with the ground and so forth. As for a three-point hitch weight for when you don't have that hoe hooked up, go to the farm store n buy one of those Carry All attachments and box in the bottom with 4×4 treated wood with a deck on it so you can put a 30-gallon plastic drum on there n chain it and fill it with sand. You 100% will need that much weight on the hitch when you are lifting anything several hundred pounds with the loader. As someone else said, brush guard and they also make guards for all the hydro filters and engine oil filter and possibly the fuel water separator. Trust me if you continue to do woods work, you will tear a filter off n the damage will be lessened by how fast you shut the tractor off before it self-destroys from hydro fluid loss or engine oil loss if you get that filter. Also, woods work will destroy your lights, plastic grill n possibly your hood without a guard or extremely careful operating. Not like you were doing in this video stuffing the tractors front end into the log pile. Radiators n hydro coolers are not cheap, and they are right behind that plastic grill. Keep that in mind. KTAC insurance is also very smart n I hope you got that. Grease the living heck out of those zerks. A shiny clean loader means lack of grease. It should be oozing out of every pin. when you bump one of those quick attach levers on the loader n twist the little round tube, you can use a pine tree n the controls to twist it back. Remember this as you will twist that tiny tube more than a few times before you replace it with a nice box tube that won't twist. Likely your next piece of equipment will be a trackloader or an excavator. My wife bought us a new KX033-4 with a cab, angle blade and thumb. That is the cat's meow for working on our property. Always enjoy your video's n give you the thumbs up. As far as those negative Nancy commenters, they likely don't own a Kubota L or BX series so ignore their bullshit comments.
make yourself a rear weight and when the backhoe is off put it on the rear linkage for ballast
Congratulations on your new tractor. Hope you have good luck.

Nice tractor right size for what you need around the farm thanks for the videos
Always a good day when you and Chris hang out!
Please put your (I hope) hard earned money into something better.
Looks a beauty bro it should serve you well for many years. Safe travels
I believe all that debris is good for the health of the forest but I’m with you I would like it cleaned out.
Good to have fair & fun competition to get almost real time videos posted on YouTube.
You need to reach up over the pile and grapple it from there. But you are getting it done. You will learn as you operate it. It just takes time
Well by the time your done you should have a good fire.
Seen Chis video now watching your video….. 😆
We recently bought a Kioti and I got a grapple for it. By far the best attachment. You’re gonna love it. Can’t wait to see the videos of the Kubota in action!
if you take all those logs and cut them to firewood length you could use them for fires with your kids. also it would stack a lot neater
Having purpose built equipment makes those chores much easier. Congrats on the new
toyuh machine, Geoff!🙂
