Apple could simple add an option under Display & Brightness, Home Screen & Dock, or Accessibility to turn this indicator off. It's absolutely stupid to have it visible all the time. We KNOW we can swipe from the bottom Apple! Why don't they also have indicators on the top, top right, left, and right sides as well? Super dumb Apple!
Hey thanks this tutorial worked. In my latest project on iMovie an edited video was not saving to photos, so i had to screen record to save it while figure a way to get rid of that Bar which was ruining the recording.
Why would you tap on the lock button? It will ruin the button overtime.. everytime I play my screen get smaller cuz of this home button movement from up to down which I need to do in my game.. im so frustrated and I just regret of buying iPhone.. need my android back asap

Apple should just bring back the home button (and headphone jack while they’re at it) and the problem is solved.
seriously every new update apple releases is making ios worse. I had to search how to turn my iphone off, because the side button just activated Siri… until a few years ago they used to know what user experience and usability means, I’m not sure if they still think about it.
The non-removable home bar is the dumbest feature and it interferes with some app functions like video scrolling on YouTube. It’s so frustrating. Every new iOS user understands the swipe function and knows it’s always there after using it for a minute. Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave.

why do some apps need to swipe up 2 times to exit the app
while some only need to swipe up 1 times, its very annoying if u accidentally swipe up 1 time and exit the app.
How do i enable it 2 times for all apps?

That’s so dumb there has to be a simpler way. They have messed up the iPhone with this crap.
This trick works to get rid of the bar, but when I do it, I can’t change the volume anymore, like if I’m using YouTube
