I had Minion Rush on my Kindle Fire HDX.
This is the worst tablet I have ever owned, it freezes completely all the time, I can't set a wallpaper, I can't set a different launcher as default, the battery life is the worst I have ever seen. Even the LG Gpad 8.0 which I got for free is better then this.

U can actually put alot of android and google apps on your kindle fire if u know how. Google music, google movies, gmail, etc.

I'm watching this video on the HD model I'm going to get the HDX in th coming weeks we love the tablet. I'm a prime member that makes it a lot better the movie's on this tablet are awesome can't wait to get the HDX.
If you could root the system and have it run native Android, the HDX would be tablet I'd get.

No google music really?? If only they let you add applications like google music, the tablet would do. For a book reader, the processor is overkill but it is good.

This needs to be rooted with a custom ROM and it would be the best budget tablet
The Kindle Fire HDX was one of the tablets that I had considered getting. It does have some nice hardware. I do like many of it's features and I might get one in the future. It is a good value of price for the hardware and software service that you get. I do wish that it had HDMI, SD card slot, and a rear camera.
