I think the best budget smartphone under 250 dollars is Xiaomi MI3 16GB. It has a very fast snapdragon 800processor,2GB RAM and 5 inch 1080p display..All for around 235 dollars. Also there are other cheaper phones that are better than MIUI G like Asus zenphone 5, Xiaomi redmi note etc.
Though the original MotoG was an excellent bang for the buck, I don't feel the new MotoG is so because now the competition is much more fiercer in this segment.

Have been checking out that Sharp Aquos for some time now….. dammmmmit all to Hell tho, it's only available on Sprint &/or their MVNO/Boost, etc. Of course… there's be NO Sprint coverage anywhere near where I live.. surprisingly, in the suburbs of a MAJOR city… yet only Verizon has clear coverage here. Wish it was unlocked!! Esp wish the U.S was ever to get their Japan only Aquos-X version tho.. I had a higher end phone but for what the Sharp Aquos itself, is…… it seems really good. Plus, just LOVE the looks/fit/form/function of this little (or not so little.. lol) thing! The whole non-bezel thing is just so different from all others out there (that have started to pretty much all look the same these days) Did heard from someone who has one.. that its "integrated earpiece" through vibration of the screen feature… works shockingly & incredibly well.. crystal clear (no pun intended) calls.. & a really decent, loud back-speaker too. They said the only thing to get used to… was how the front camera had to be put on the bottom & that it needed to be flipped completely upside down to take pictures/video on the front camera; Altho they also reported it's something people will get used to VERY quickly & will adjust…. no problem. See, apparently… once ya check out 1 or 2 of those "ultra flattering upside-down & up your own nose" shots in the gallery… it'll become a no-brainer! =P lol My only wish is that the US was getting the "X" version…. AND that it was "unlocked". =/ For those w/ sprint coverage tho………….. >$100 (& even less on sale) offering size, looks, function, sharpness, speed…. and current 4.4 kk, etc… on a Sprint OR pre-pay off contract plan… winner winner chicken dinner, imho! 🙂

Great list. Any chance we will get the top 5 phablets under 350 anytime soon? I have been wanting a 5.5 inch or higher phone and have been doing comparison with the ZTE Zmax and Blu Studio 6.0 and Blu Studio 5.5. As phone prices come down some consumers are looking for the phablets experience at a low cost.
U must try xiaomi redmi note octacore… Less than $200.. Ram 2gb.. Smooth gaming… Big benchmark (32 thousand).. 13mp camera (5mp front camera).. Event not good as other camera but its accept quality…

I have an important query.I can’t decide which smartphone to buy.The HTC One E8 or Moto X(2014).So far I’ve only been able to ascertain two points of distinction, the E8’s camera is slightly better and the Moto X is a tad faster.For me a smartphone is a 2-3 year purchase and I was wondering which of these two phones would be better a year from now when it comes to android updates?
