In this video, we’re starting our journey to build a Rick and Morty themed iOS app using Swift and UIKit. This is Part 1 of our series, where we’ll be setting up our project and building the user interface for our app.
We’ll start by creating a new Xcode project and discussing the different design patterns and tools we’ll be using throughout the series. Then, we’ll dive into setting up our base view controllers for the app programmatically.
By the end of this video, you’ll have a basic understanding of how to use Swift and UIKit to build an iOS app and have a fully functional user interface.
Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll start implementing the functionality for our app. Thanks for watching!
Shoutout to @TheAndroidFactory for the series idea.

I had spent nearly a month building a neat clone version for my best word game Wordle. I just love playing with it almost everyday on my PC, but alas, I can’t play with it on my iPhone unless I have the Developer Mode turned on. ☹️
LOL I actually got assigned this as an engineer interview take home challenge
Why wouldn’t Apple approve it?
You know I’m not a programmer but you really increased my passion with that video
Just wanna ask you what’s the best foundation for a new learner to programming? Like do I have to learn data structures, Algorithms, databases and networking before starting to learn ios development?
Excited for this!
no clue what you are building… is there a demo of the final result…? I didn't last 1 min in the video… (this is feedback, not criticism)
Brilliant as usual
Woo! Thanks for the shout 🤝 enjoy the API. I'm excited to follow this series and check out the similarities between iOS and Android 👍
