Changing Face Of India's Maritime Strategy

With the ongoing conflict with China and the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, the month of August provided some hint that India confronts major challenges on its northern periphery. It serves to limit India’s strategic space in Eurasia. The marine factor will likely become more important in India’s foreign policy matrix as the country’s problems in the northern periphery worsen.
Strategic analysts divide states’ geopolitical policies and military capabilities into two groups: those who prioritise naval power and those who prioritise land power. Russia is a land power, whereas Britain and America are predominantly marine powers. China is a land power that is working to direct its energy toward the seas.
Since independence, India has been compelled to concentrate more on strengthening its land power, as the biggest security threats, namely China and Pakistan, have been on the ground.
There is no alternative for India to choose between land and naval might. Its location forces it to pursue both goals. India has lengthy land borders and a similarly long coastline.
With Growing geopolitical leverage of China and Pakistan, and the latest developments in have revived the debate over the development of land and naval power.
It highlight the necessity to sharpen strategic focus seawards. Some critics have even argued that maritime power should be prioritised
August was a busy month for the Indian Navy
Surprisingly, India engaged in a flurry of naval activity in August, which has strategic implications. And these initiatives of conducting naval exercises with important strategic allies indicate that the maritime dimension is becoming increasingly important in India’s foreign policy.
Towards the end of August, India hosted the National Security Advisers (NSA) meeting of IBSA (India, Brazil and South Africa) countries. This was also the first such meeting between IBSA NSAs and underscored the growing role of maritime security in these three countries’ foreign policy

India first needs to get the house in order before they start building up power projection. The mine warfare vessels, submarines and light to medium weight surface vessels. After that start building up the numbers of large combatants and overseas harbours will become the next step for now two carriers and the small destroyers will do to protect the coast and direct sphere of influence.

We are 20 years Behind due to lack of money and unity in slow Country.
But we are Catching up Quickly.
We are Diversified People and that's our Biggest Weakness and Strength.

If we use it against ourselves we will loose again.
If we use it against enemies they will lose even with Their Full Strength.

I think you are spoke person of navy
India currently need air and land Power
It is detter to stop giving more funds to navy
Reduce the funds to navy
Concentrate more on airforce and army
First develop one best world class assulat rifle
Next you talk about navy
It is better to stop navy power as it is too expensive
3rd aircraft carrier,LDH ,mine sweepers are not useful at current generation
It is just give contract
I think they have mutual understanding 🤫🤫🤫

I think they are showing china as ghost 👻👻👻 and increase funds to navy
Nice move
Worst idea
Don't waste tax payers money unnecessarily 🤦🤦🤦🤦
