There are any number of things that can cause an Android smartphone or tablet to go into a bootloop. I’ve seen this happen after installing a root mod that wasn’t compatible with the device itself. There are also many reports of these devices being seemingly bricked after a simple restart as well.
So in today’s video I want to take some time and show you how to unbrick the Samsung Galaxy S22 when it just reboots over and over again without ever taking you into the Android operating system.
This unbrick tutorial will work for the base version of the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The first thing you’re going to need to do is download the firmware that matches your device. This means the firmware should match both the model number and the region code that you have on your device. I’ve done tutorials on this in the past, so if you’re not familiar with how this is done, be sure to check the linked tutorial in the video description below.
I downloaded this firmware with a program called Frija, but there are a variety of tools and websites out there that you can use as well.
After the firmware has been downloaded, it needs to be extracted onto your PC and you will then need to download and extract a program called Odin, if you don’t already have it on your computer.
We will be using that program to install the firmware to our Galaxy S22 here.
Now, we need to boot the bricked Galaxy S22 into Download Mode using the USB method. And if your device is in a bootloop that means you’ll need to time this just right. So wait for the screen to go black during one of the bootloop cycles, and then press and hold BOTH volume buttons while inserting the USB cable.
If done correctly, you’ll notice the Galaxy S22 has booted into the splash screen of Download Mode. Where we can press the Volume Up button to bypass the splash screen and be taken directly to the Download Mode menu.
Let’s look at the Odin program and make sure it has detected the Galaxy S22, and then load up the firmware files into the correct slots.

With those files loaded into Odin, we can then press the Start button and wait for this program to replace the filesystem with the fresh firmware that was just downloaded.
That completes the unbrick tutorial for the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Now that we have booted back into Android, we can now restore our backed up data (if needed), and then begin using the phone like normal.
