Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. Naval forces in the Middle East, established Task Force 59 to rapidly integrate commercially-made drone boats and pair them with artificial intelligence.
Over the past year, the task force has helped him get a clearer picture of what’s happening on the water, and now, the Navy says it is rolling out similar efforts in the Indo-Pacific and Central and South America.
I sat down for an exclusive interview with Admiral Cooper during the 5th Fleet’s Digital Horizon exercise in Bahrain to talk about how cutting-edge technologies like AI, drone boats and more are helping the military see from “seabed to space.”

Females lower a militarys capabilities
pretty amazing. I accidentally read his name as Bradley Cooper at first.
Very interesting.
This is some awesome coverage Shelby. I'm not seeing anyone else reporting on this at the moment. Hope to see more content like this that ties into geopolitics issues!
The US should really pursue in AI machine learning big data gathering and and apply it to many fields like warfare business economics biology and learning. Add also simulation with virtual reality for real physics simulation
Can you say slocum glider?
Lol, he answered the questions without really answering the questions. He's had good media training. Well done, Navy. 🤠
Great Achievement,😄
