Friday Night Frenzy Returns! Recapping This Week In Law!

After a 1-week hiatus, Friday Night Frenzy has returned! There were a lot of developments in law this week, some more lighthearted than others! Grab a drink, pull up a seat, and let’s talk about it – and try to throw in a few laughs along the way.

We’re going to keep this week’s FNF a little shorter because I’ll be joining @Uncivil Law for his charity live stream benefiting Thyroid Cancer once we wrap up.

If any of ya’ll have tuned into these evening streams, you know the topics can go anywhere and everywhere…you know how I love “linear” thought processes! This is intended as a casual and fun way to let some steam off after a long week.

Loved this live.. the banter, the respect and the comedic relief… that first video had me rolling Rob!!!!!!! whatever he was thinking opening it in the car 😂😂😂 The Brooks case is new to me, but sounds like its going to be an interesting case.. and by that I mean, I can sense he's going to test the judge's patience. Having said that I love how thorough she is, clearly not letting him try pull anything later on in 'ignorance'. Cudos to her!!!! Hoping you're all having a great weekend and wishing you all a great week ahead!!!

Also love that both Mike and Rob were broken by pimpcast. Andrew is hilariously nuts!

21:10: about surströmming.

Not only does it smell bad, but that's the least of the things about it.
The worst thing about is the juice.

The juice is like acid or concentrated bleach on textile.
The juice will also kill vegetation, grass, plants, etc…

Love the Friday Night Frenzy… thanks chilling with you.

I heard somewhere that Sovereign Citizens won't say "I understand" because it means they stand under someone.

Suzanne Barnum

Wondering if the judge could skirt around the word "understand" by asking the sov. cit. "comprehend" the informationthey are being provided with & "agree" with the fact that by representing themselves they are giving up the assistance, guidance & expertise of professional legal counsel? Is there a specific reason why the judge wanted to focus on the word "understand" when the defendant was adamantly determined to not admit to understanding anything? Granted, I know he's purposely being difficult, but if he will concede to different but equal verbiage…. why not go that route?

Replay crew ♡ thanks for the entertainment while I recover from this virus on my couch in between naps 🦄

Trust me, everyone evacuated. If they didn't, someone has to rescue them. There is no power, water, or internet for anyone to hear. FEMA is useless. Send loves and thank yous, thoughts and prayers to the national guard. They are the absolute heroes of any disaster.

Next up: Durian gum gets a school evacuated. Winnipeg. About 10 years ago. A student was chewing Durian gum and the faculty thought there was a bio attack. Once the school was evacuated the student eventually came forward… embarrassed she precipitated the evacuation.

I had the misfortune of experiencing surströmming many years ago when I worked for a Swedish company (///). One of the swedes I worked with decided to open a can in our cafeteria in the middle of our Thanksgiving potluck luncheon. I wasn't even on the same floor as the cafeteria and found the smell unbearable. At first I was wondering if a dog had been let into the building and had an accident. Then the smell got worse…
I prefer (and have learned to make) a different Swedish fish dish – gravlax.

sorry missed Friday, watching Saturday – I love Rob and Mike together – you two make me laugh, and I need it being a senior citizen. And Bri brought warmth and laughter – beautiful smile and wonderful hair. Thanks you three

Paralegals Rule!! We know all Court personal. We know all in the legal community. We are owed all kinds of favor! Good luck Brie.

That fish video has me crying

Amy Ickes

@LawtalkwithMike I had an attorney come in my office with a Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned to mid chest. Hair sticking out. I was so disgusted I wanted to take my stapler and close it up. It was so odd and uncomfortable.

Bri is so beautiful and sweet, I so enjoy her being on!

Robin Howard

@ Law and Lumber ROB! You’re going to have to rename the show Friday Night Frenzy (with cocktails!), to Friday Night Frenzy (with appetizers), after watching the opening of the can of that “Fermented Fish”! 😂😂😂😂😂 OMG! Too funny! Thanks as always! ❤

milly larz

Omg I hate that I missed the live last night😭. Also Brandon Farris is known for this kind of thing (surstromming guy🤣). He was homeless living in his car and still kept making funny videos eating the one chip challenge, eating dried tarantula challenge, etc. Progressing to funny fan gift unboxings including Kelly the wedding photo (see kellygotpicnapped website for his charity) and now he's married has a beautiful baby he's doing so so well🙌. He's one of the good ones y'all❤.

Catching the replay early Saturday morning and Oh Rob!! That first video of that poor man opening the can in his car, I laughed til I had tears running down my face! That's so hilarious!!
🤣😂😁 I needed that laugh!! However, that last video was ugh….oh, so gross…I feel ill. 🤢
I'm so sorry about your Dad. I've lost several family members to cancer. It's a painful loss. Cancer sucks! Months after receiving severe permanent nerve damage in my leg during a knee surgery from a tourniquet that was too high and too tight, leading to me being labIed "disabled" and unable to work when I was in my 40s, I was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer in 2010. It's a chronic leukemia called Essential Thrombocytheamia. There's no treatment or cure for it. I've simply been monitored since my diagnosis. I've been told I must begin oral chemo whem I turn 60 yrs old, and take it the rest of my life unless a treatment or cure is discovered beforeI die as that's all doctors have available to them to kill off my excessive platelets and white blood cells. I'll be 59 this December. This blood cancer causes me to be immune comprised. In May of 2015, I had to have my entire left lung removed in order to determine if I had lung cancer because doctors were unable to reach the spot to do a biopsy. It was lung cancer. I had to have chemo after the lung surgery which had to be stopped 3/4 of the way thru because the chemo was killing me. My doctor said he didn't believe I would survive another dose of chemo. The awesome news is that not only have I survived the pandemic thus far with a comprised immune system and one lung but I've also been free of lung cancer for almost 7 1/2 yrs! And I was told if I received all of the chemo treatments (which of course I didn't) my odds of surviving for 3 yrs was 23%. So if anyone is reading this comment that's dealing with a cancer diagnosis themselves or has someone they love and care about that is, never, ever believe the doctors when they tell you your odds of surviving the cancer and how long you have left on earth! They don't have a freakin' clue!! What you believe is all that matters, it's critical that you believe… you know you can survive and thrive for years!! Never give up!! You are so much stronger than you know!!

To be fair Rob, would you advise your client to take responsibility in a situation like Alec Baldwin's ?

I’d love a free membership. I’m recovering from a surgery that left me in a coma last year. I woke up finally and couldn’t walk or barely move. I am a miracle to be here. Im actually taking some steps. Need plenty of prayers.

Replay and the car thing is like me a couple months ago. I don’t have kids but I have a niece and nephew. My niece was staying with me and she vomited through the night. It was sprayed on the vanity, floor, wall. Everywhere. I now can’t use Fabuloso purple because I relate it to vomit. Lol. I literally took the handheld shower and sprayed the floor and bathroom. That’s one of my biggest phobias is people vomiting anywhere near me. I’m still scarred.

Negligibly Negative

Replay crew from Denmark!

Pegleg Finance

The surstromming in the car reminds me of the Seinfeld episode "The Smell."

Sabs McDabs

Replay crew. What a chill frenzy covering all sorts of topics. Love Rob with Mike and Bri. Surstromming seems utterly vile. Nope! Have a good weekend all

Great stream as always! I do disagree on Baldwin and the defamation case — I think there’s another side you haven’t covered. I, too, would be upset if I found out someone I donated thousands to was at the Capitol on 1/6, or their family was, whether they went inside or not, because it was a pretty traitorous thing to be at. The whole nature of the event, while legal free speech, was anti-American and gross. Protesting the results of free and fair elections is an existential threat to democracy. He can be upset if he wants. Also, he didn’t reveal he spent the money u til he found that out. I think his initial gift was meant to be private and kind, but when he saw that, it made him sick to his stomach. It would make me sick, too. Doesn’t mean he isn’t an ass and says nothing about the rust thing, but just the other side of that case that hasn’t been covered here.
