DISCLAIMERS ON FORMATS COVERED:
Notice I said POPULAR formats, meaning a format where there is a significant amount of people who compete in it for tournaments and so on and so forth.
For the record, I do not care what rules or formats people play their battles by nor am I saying these formats are the only formats that should be played. The way you play Pokemon is between you and your opponent. I just like examining popular tournament formats.

he is so bad
this vid should be call how bad is bisharp actaully
One of the most surprising things to me was that Bisharp and Scizor weren’t wiped off the map on viability from Lucario’s presence. A faster offensive pokemon with Extreme Speed Close Combat and Blaze Kick or Aura Sphere Flamethrower
Update for future viewers:
After all the gen 8 DLC dropped Slowking, Slowbro, and Slowking Galar all became OU and their regenerator-teleport shenanigans ruled the tier for a while. Eventually Bisharp became OU by usage as a counter and pushed Slwoking into UU. Bisharp is currently comfortable at about 8% usage in OU doing its normal Bisharp things. It hard counters the two most used mons in the tier (Lando-T and Dragapult) and can sweep teams easily with a little bit of U-turn and hazard support.
That is why I use bisharp to threaten rooks like londoT and other intimidators. And sometimes threaten a couple of Queens like… Cinderace in monosteel showdon team with stone edge.
How good was Amoongus actually? (:
Defiant >
1:32 bisharp used sex change
Opponent: uses Intimidate
Somewhere out there, a Bisharp or a Braviary felt their Attack stats raise by one stage, or a Milotic's Special Attack stat raise by two stages.
What if Pawniard, being a pawn, had branched evolutions so it can become other chess pieces just like how pawns can turn into other officials when they reach the end of the board.
“that doesn’t seem to be changing”
Bisharp is now a unviable UU pokemon
because you can’t play it
Let's not forget about Alain's Bisharp landing two Guillotines against Ash in the Kalos League.
BTW,
33:42 Am I the only one who noticed that he made an Avatar reference?
i am still surprised that bisharp didnt get a mega (not that it needed it)
Bisharp was Grimsley's strongest? I always felt like it was the weakest next to his liepard with how quick it went down to a single fighting type move
Apparently 125 attack stat is massive
why didn't it use pursuit? Defiant pursuit would've been hilarious
anything that lowers one of bisharps stats:
bisharp: is this swords dance?
Bisharp is literally the best partner for sticky web.
If the opponent magic bounces the webs, Bisharp always gets +2 on switch in. If the opponent defogs the webs, Bisharp can switch in for a free +2. If the opponent leaves the webs, Bisharp now outspeeds a lot of pokemon.
I like how Bisharp has literally the same standard singles set from gen 6-8
we need Mega Bisharp
Yup
Ik it’s a bit late, but let’s celebrate that this vid was out for 1 year. Happy first anniversary 🎉🎉🎊🎊
I always named Bisharp " Shredder " from TMNT. Because well, look at it. It looked like the Shredder. Regardless, Bisharp is an great Pokemon. Dark/Steel sounds hard-core, especially being 4× weak to Fighting. But with the right set and tools, Bisharp become pretty dangerous if u don't play attention. It can mop the floor on you.
Ooo almost Scizor length video dis good
Also Bisharp has more going for it than being a great revenge killer and sweeper, It can run lead singles with focus sash and stealth rock and most forget that if you run jolly with 252 speed, you can open up possibilities with coverage to it's fighting type killers with psycho cut
Bisharp’s gen 5 sprite was iconic
I love this dude, but damn he evolves late
As someone who is actually training a bisharp right now, I’m impressed on how well it’s holding up competitively.
I play Bisharp with rock polish, focus sash, iron head, knock off and poison jab. It’s great with stealth rock/spikes/toxic spikes support as switching in to defog will boost its attack with defiant. If the team doesn’t use defog, bisharp can finish off stealth rock weakened teams, and if defog is used?
+2 attack, +2 speed: Get ready for some damage
Favorite pokemon, hands down.
It did change…hes in ON now
Let it get a Mega so it can shred even more of the competition
how good was Ferrothorn actually
Sucks how they took out his knock off tho
