I doubt ferroseed would be as good if it was a 3 stage evolution. Its stats are better because it's just a two stage evolution.

I may be one of dime in a dozen that isnt too afraid of ferroseed because it was in gen 7 NU…Incineroar was also in that tier soo yeah, pretty comfortable to counter and check it

How good was Bronzong ACTUALLY?
Ferroseed follows the sigilyph and lanturn trend each gen. They may drop a tier but end up being a defining parts of it. The removal of HP Fire only made Ferroseed even more annoying for Grass Types without powerful fighting coverage. At this point it seems almost impossible for Ferrothorn or Ferroseed to lose out in usage to any other grass type.
However, Ferrothorn and Ferroseed may not end up liking terastalization in Scarlet/Violet because it gives mons that they usually counter a wild card to threaten them. Especially grass terastalization which would stuff any attempts to heal with leech seed. I still don't doubt that ferrothorn can use terastalization itself and go for ghost or water terastalization to threaten the fighting fire types that so easily threatened it before. Can't wait to see what Scarlet/Violet brings for Ferrothorn.
Oh that little metal durian. Got to love that part of it's strategy is the "Stepping on Legos" defense. Ouch!

As others, it’s comical that Ferroseed is quite literally a smaller ferrothorn. You’d think it would have access to less of its evolved forms tricks or have a somewhat different niche, but no. Aside from body press it is almost exactly the same.
