How to Create a Scroll Bar in Excel



In this video tutorial, learn how to create a scroll bar in Excel.

If you have a large dataset, you can use this technique to create a scroll bar and a scrollable list to show limited records. This gives the user a flexibility to scroll and go through the entire data.

The Excel Scrollbar option is available in the developer tab in Form Controls.

To create a scroll bar, you need to use a mix of excel formulas and to create a list that updates when you move the scroll bar.

nice video but this method is much faster and short way :👇👇

=INDEX(C4:C$31,$L$3)

put the formula on cell "H4" and drag it both way.

Hi Sumit.. this was very instructive.. offering two solutions with OFFSET and INDEX. I combined INDEX with MATCH to dynamically use the column headers when copying right. Excellent! Thanks and Thumbs up!

i swear bruh this step F me up during the excel exam because it told me to use vertical scroll and add some shape color or whatever and the next step would write a sentence inside it and i didnt know how to do vertical scroll and that would prevent me from doing the other step so i submit and i got 675 instead of above 700 which i could have
