Google has been trying to push its Meet video chat service to more people in an attempt to compete with the likes of Microsoft and Zoom. The service has a lot of good features and it is easy to use but Google has decided to cram the feature into other apps.

In particular, they’ve added a bit “meet” button to the bottom of the tab bar of the Gmail application.

This has annoyed many people due to its size and forced addition to an app they’ve been using for years.

So in this video I’ll be showing you how to disable and remove this button from the bottom bar of the Gmail application. And in doing so, we actually remove the entire bottom bar from the app too.

This has been a great thing to do for those who want more information density on their display.
