I’ve lived and breathed Android for almost as long as Android has been a thing. And then I bought an iPhone 14 Pro. Here’s how it went.

I used a few iPhones over the years, I'm an android user, and in my experience, the iPhone lacks proper file management, the spam filter and blocking feature is way better in android, and some of the apps I use are better written on android, all in all, android is more advanced OS, the iPhone is better designed tho.

My whole life I was anti-Apple. Never wanted them. Never liked them. My first phone was a flip phone by Nokia. I then got the Blackberry Storm 1 and 2 (Loved those phones). Then moved to the Samsung Windows 7 Phone (LOVED that phone. I don't care). I then went to the Note 2, Note 3, Note 7, S7+, Note 8, Note 20 Ultra 5G. I did not like the N20U, nor did I like the N2, or S7+. Over the years, Samsung wanted to incorporate curved sides with a curved edge to the screen. Curved sides is one thing. I didn't like the curved screen. I don't care how slight. I didn't like the side panel. Didn't really use the S-Pen. LOVED the widgets, but for the longest time Apple didn't have them. Now Samsung copies Apples Smart Stack. But over the years, I started to really like the Apple design. Then this year, Google made some statements on what they support and would pay for. I didn't like that. Samsung got hacked. Samsung kept pushing BTS down our throats (they suck). Quite a few other things. But I kept looking at the 13PM and I eventually decided I wanted the 14PM. So I divulged and grabbed it. I'm so happy I did.

Then the Pixel 7 came out after and regrets set in lol

Similar situation here. Waiting for my 14 Pro Max after mostly 10 years of Android, except for a disappointing trip to Windows Phone where Microsoft blacklisted themselves for me forever by destroying Nokias excellent customer service to a level of scam. Now my first time with iOS, I hope I won't regret it…

Looking to switch from Samsung to Apple because social media seems to prefer iOS. I find that most of my posts are compressed so much more than posts from iOS. Or is that just me? I'm starting to become a creator and it seems like this would be the best way to go.

Switched from Huawei P30 Pro to iPhone 14 Pro, basically to conclude that the P30 Pro is ridiculously good, especially considering it's almost 4 year old technology. The main reason I bought the P30 Pro was the camera unit. I had the Fuji XT-system but wanted something smaller for my travels. And boy, the P30 Pro delivered BIG time, especially when you pushed the boundaries (low light, and not even using the famous night mode). It was a breeze to use and had the best and most consistent battery life I ever experienced, and fast charging. So far, I see that the 14 Pro has really good software, fantastic battery life, and Face ID is just brilliant. Cameras are great in daylight, but I expected too much of it in harder circumstances. It sort of squeezes everything out of its cameras by using pretty advanced and agressive software, at the cost of transparency. And tele? 2x and 3x zoom, come on… I somehow really wanted to be more impressed hardware wise, especially for 1460 euros (256GB). Might consider something from Google or Xiaomi, just to see what it's like.

I wound up with an iphone 13 pro after having datamodem issues with a pixel 6 like many others, and while I didn't hate it, managing things like notifications and navigation just annoyed me. I took a chance with the pixel 7 due to generous trade-in deals for the pixel 6, and I'm glad I did. No data issues, great battery life and quality feel. While the iphone is a great bit of hardware, the software side left me unimpressed. Also Android Auto is so much better than car play IMO.

I did the same thing. Went in with an open mind
Initially, loved the 14 Pro, esp battery and speakers. Ended up, 3 weeks later, going back to Pixel, for what I consider to be a much better experience.

The best part about Apple devices that is rarely mentioned is, resale value. Pay $699 for a brand new iPhone and sell it for $300 3 years later. You can’t beat that value.

PIP does work for YouTube on iOS if you have YouTube premium. Not sure why it didn’t for you but I’ve been using it for years (since it was YouTube Red)

12:50 i have to argue that both Instagram and Snapchat on android still have some issues with direct video capturing. I don’t think the argument that “its hard to keep track on different camera/screen” i used to say its developers fault, since iOS been the priority for first hand updates. The more i dig on some developers thread i found that the problem was the Google itself on not providing a better camera API, apparently the current one is hard and much of a hassle

I lasted 8 hours , and switched back.

I switched to the 14 pro because Samsung decided that having notifications, ring tones, and other noises play at full volume throught the ear speaker when on phone calls. This forced me to turn off notifications or leave my volume muted in case I got phone calls. I always struggled remembering to turn them on. I spend months dealing with various Samsung, and att tech supports before finding a whole forum full of people dealing with the same problem on the note 20 Ultra. I've yet to find somebody with a fix for the issue. After a year and a half and on my third replacement note 20, I gave up. The fact that Samsung could let a product go out like this. It would make my ears ring. My wife would not use my phone unless she spoke on speaker. After this, I'll take iphones polished features. I'm not personally an apple guy but I'm starting to appreciate refinement over experimental features. I'm tired of android problems that don't get fixed with software updates. I'm hearing android just released a phone with a similar issue playing full volume tones into the ear speaker while ok phones calls. How can they acknowledge this is a major issue and not fix it.

Apple can get rid of the headphone jack and the sim card slot but it's determined to avoid switching to a USB-C port until enough countries make it the law.

Inspiring Morning

Me to changed this year and very happy with iphone😊.I used android from the begining of times but i was tired of the software and android phones that reset themselves, warm up to much or phone apps start lagging after 6 months of use😢.I used most of android models like LG,HTC,Samsung,Pixel/Nexus,Motorola,Nokia (all high end models) and all had the same problems.

I switched from a Pixel 6 to the iPhone 13 mini in February of this year. Literally the first time using iPhone. The transition, like you pointed out, was very tedious and annoying. After that was out of the way though, it has been a decent experience. The main reason I switched was because I couldn't stand the amount of bugs the Pixel 6 had when it came to things like the fingerprint sensor not working, random network drops, WiFi not working on occasion… Now after using iPhone for a fair amount of time, I'm switching back to Pixel 7 and probably won't switch back to iPhone. There are too many things I miss. One of the most major ones is call screening on Pixel. I also have a large music library of old CDs that I'd ripped which are very annoying to transfer to iPhone and it seemed to throw up region errors for me which made no sense since I literally own the files. Another issue has been downloading PDF documents from any browser besides Safari. My everyday work requires me to occasionally download documents to read on my phone and I found this to be very annoying when using Chrome on iOS. The notification management is also pretty bad with old notifications seemingly staying forever even though they have been dealt with. In general, it's not a terrible experience, but I feel quite cheated considering I paid more for the iPhone 13 mini than my Pixel 6 but still somehow got a worse experience. Also, the iPhone seems to randomly switch from WiFi to cellular which doesn't happen on my wife's Pixel in the same house. Overall, I don't think iPhones are as refined as they are touted to be with Android simply providing well thought out features and better overall UX.

I personally got a 14 pro max 1tb and it’s my 2nd ever iPhone
I can’t even touch android anymore because it feels so janky
Edit: I definitely prefer the way iPhone handles AOD, just like the Apple Watch does it better than android watches, you can see your picture
But I turned it off because I really like the battery life
Edit 2: the 14 pro max has the best battery I have ever seen, especially since my light use is heavier than most “Power users”’ heavy use

Lakas Ng Amatz Ko

I switched to Android.
57 years on IOS.

JAMES T. MARTINEZ

I've used both iphone at work and Android for my personal use and I still will choose android over ios everytime. I switched over to the Google Pixel 7 pro from the Samsung S22 ultra

Lack of usb-c didn't hold you back?

I’ve been with Android for a decade before ny first iPhone purchase wich is the 12. It’s a hard transition but since then, I got used to their system and bought few more Apple devices. Every devices is not the best but together they are unrivaled, the ecosystem is polished and seamless. MacOS and iOS is so simple, Apple devices are well built but expensive ofcourse

Christian Held

It's basically the same story for me. My first and so far last iPhone was the 3GS and I've been a Mac user for the past 10 years or so. In the Android world I used so far the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 and a OnePlus 6T. Google assistant is great and I do cast a lot too but for some reason I wanted to switch back for some time to try something new. I intend to keep my OnePlus 6T on my second Sim card and use an iPhone 14 Pro Max. One of the many reasons is to get an update at the tike of release and a flagship phone. On Android I've got too much choice and that's killing me. I like both but as you said Alex it's a nice change. Once I can get my hand on an iPhone I'll make the switch.

The problem I had with Android was the absolute TERRIBLE luck I’ve had with the hardware. I’ve tried a switch to Android twice-both were Samsung phones and both had multiple replacements while I had them. Except for one hiccup with my iPhone 3G, I’ve never had an issue with Apple’s hardware. When the 6S Plus came out, I made the permanent switch. My 3rd Galaxy S4 replacement randomly died while I was waiting for a flight in Detroit and never turned back on again. I’m really careful when handling my hardware….it wasn’t me, but activating an old iPhone 4S that worked flawlessly after 2 years of sitting in my car as a music player was a sign. I waited until the announcement for the new iPhones and made a permanent switch.

In new Android phones there is problem of proximity sensor there is no proper proximity sensor there are accidental touch while call I also want switch to iphone

Iv never had iPhones in my life always androids but I ordered iphone14 pro max and hope I will like it

Blink Owl

Fantastic video. Exactly what I wanted. I really like iPhone 14 Pro as a phone, it's almost perfect but the whole headache of moving my apps over there and then leaving behind my Google and Chrome integration… I might go with pixel 7.

Kaushik Dey

I'm also switched Android to iOS last month. I have been using Android since 2011.

Ed Armstrong

I've just made the switch from Android to iPhone. I've never had an iPhone so this video has been great for me. I'm currently awaiting the arrival of my iPhone but I'm not filled with confidence after "I dont hate it!" 🫣🥹🤣

My s22+ is better

Think I like about iPhones is on Lock Screen you got option for camera and flashlight, hold power button for Siri (wish google assistant but oh well Siri will do), double press for Apple Pay and mute switch with volume on opposite side of power button. I also prefer faceID it feels seamless like I don’t have have a biometric. Nice for banking apps. Google had it on android 11 where your cards would show up on power button hold along with smart home controls. That right there was perfect but since it was awesome google removed it in android 12

I'd switch to iphone if I could dual boot android, otherwise, nfw

Apple is too boring for me
