I had similar process getting my life insurance. Had to tell the truth but asked a lawyer and after 2 years with no issues/ death the policy is pretty much good to go.
But first you gotta ask the question , does your family need your income to survive, if yes then you must get a life Insurance policy, if the answer is no well it’s not really needed.
But still plan on having to fight for that insurance money. Because that’s insurance

Don't get a "whole life policy." Ripoff. Don't get life insurance for your kids. They don't have dependents (who are the reason you get life insurance) and they probably won't die anyway. Ripoff. Get term life insurance. Should be pretty cheap, and the million dollars or whatever will help your dependents get through your passing.

I'm a life insurance agent and I tell my friends not to buy life insurance lmao, the companies are schemey and the payouts are terrible compared to the amount of revenue you could make investing your money in literally anything else.. get a nice will and a trust and invest your money… do not give it to a life insurance company

Go through State Farm, they have a 2 year underwriting period where they can use your statement on application against you. After those 2 years they need to indemnify you of your policy. I’ve seen several payouts without issues unfortunately.

The short answer is that you are pretty safe from most things after the two year contestability period. The call would probably help in that period though.
I’ve been selling life insurance for 16 years. Your concerns are legit but irrelevant. Because of your good health and young age, the risk is massive to the insurer. Meaning your premium is very small compared to the death benefit. That means they aren’t going to issue it based on anything you say, they’ll get your life’s history, criminally, medically, driving, employment, credit, ect…. They will determine how that gets issued without even looking at the boxes that you check on the application. Don’t worry, life insurance contracts become legally incontestable after 2 years, even if you kill yourself. Those shows involve big policies where the insured mysteriously dies right after the policy is issued, or an old person who died and their kids find a life insurance contract and try to make a claim but the insured person stopped paying the premium 10 years ago and it was cancelled. The kids find those and automatically assume those are in force and they’re getting all this money. You can cancel or stop paying a life insurance policy and still have the contract in a drawer somewhere 20 years later, it doesn’t mean it’s good.

Uncle Chael, as someone who works in the life insurance industry. Those questions are less about how to get out of a payout and they are more about what health rating on policies. If you get a policy get one through a Mutual company. They don’t have shareholders that need to see profits.
