I upgraded to the iPhone 14 Pro Max from the iPhone 13 Pro and a few months later, I’m kind of disappointed on how things are going with this brand new iPhone. From the beginning, the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max felt like it was rushed. The software experience I felt like it was a bit half baked and that it’s not much of an upgrade over the 13 Pro it replaced. As the months went by, several updates hit the phone and here we are today. Discussing what changes have been made and whether or not it was a worthy upgrade or if waiting around for the 15 Pro, which is slated to land in Q3 of 2023 is a better choice.

NOTE: I just updated to iOS16.3 and just got the same weird bug for the notification bubble, and now it seems like haptic feedback when typing feels less prominent. Anyone else find new bugs or issues?
I had my notifications on but all the way down. For like 10 mins after this last update it sounded like the volume was all the way up and I couldn’t cut it down. Even turned the button off on the side but I could still hear it

With ios 16.3 it seems like battery life has gotten worse in i phone 13 cuz my i phone drained like 8% overnight

My 14 pro LL/A iphone gives me 6.5 hours of battery life? Aod on and I also play some games, is there any problem in my iphone?
idc what yall are saying,but my 14 pro has been excellent.Ive been getting 7-8 hour battery,no bugs and the photos have been excellent.And with 16.3 battery has got even better.Maybe im one of the few lucky ones
Apples updates have been horrible,with iOS 16 easily being the worst to date. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of nice features and all, but my current phone (standard 12) has had so many problems specifically my system data.
I installed the iOS 14 beta on my XR a few years back and I didn’t have ANY problems like how my 12 had with iOS 16’s beta, even going until today…
With the 16.3 release, I’ve somehow had a lot better battery life considering my health is at 86%. It performs better too which is not what I was expecting.
iOS 16 is Apple's worst software update to date, due to its slow performance, battery drain, and numerous bugs. iOS 12 was apple’s best iOS update ever but the newer updates have been poor quality and it’s older devices it’s the new devices that currently experience the most bugs hopefully iOS 17 is more like iOS 12 🔥
You want bugs switch on the Pixel 7 Pro. I'm close to putting my sim back in my Pixel 5.

MKBHD gave the iPhone 14 Pro the “best camera system” award – that’s good enough for me. Photos are always subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I’ve only had this phone a week and I’m already shooting just in raw to avoid that Deep Fusion after effect, which is even worse in more artificial light I think…

My iPhone 12 has gone to crap because of iOS 16. There are times where the device's battery will drain super quickly within a few hours of just being on standby.

What video settings did you use for the "The phone is great at videos" sequence?
3 to 3 and a half hours of screen on time is what I get with my S22 ultra…if that. Switching to iPhone soon because I'm tired of Samsung's shit. 7 hours of SOT is unheard of for me.

When ever you put your phone overnight and don't use it you lose a bit of battery when you wake up I really hate that. I hope they fix this. the iOS 16 is the part why the iphone 14 is bad not the iphone I hope apple improves it.
Would love to see you review something like the OnePlus n20 5G to show how far those lower mid range phones have come. Makes spending $1,000 for a phone seem less worth it each day.

The bugs you are experiencing probably have less to do with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and more to do with iOS 16. I have almost all the bugs you just mentioned and I own an iPhone Xs.
I hate the way photos look with that really bright areas… anyway to turn that off? excellent video 🙂
Luckily I haven’t had any bugs with my iPhone 14 Pro, but I just recently bought it and it came with 16.2 preinstalles… maybe a factory reset/fresh install will fix your issues?
