I'm glad I upgraded from my 11 Pro to a 13 Pro. It was half the cost, and I avoided all the iPhone 14 issues. Now I can sit back and wat a few years for the 15 and 16 stuff to go through the sifter. I will be in the market again for the 17 or 18. But I am getting close to retirement and am thinking of getting off the treadmill. One last upgrade of everything then booms that's it.

Well , probably i can ignoring the notch but i can’t bear the Dynamic Island, I hated it so much.
I will not buying the iPhone until this ugly Dynamic Island disappears.
They should have added 90 or 120 Hz display to the plus model. At least then it would have a distinctive feature than the base model for the customers. Like how the cameras used to be better on the 7 and 8 plus back then.

Sounds weird to say, but whether I get a 15 Ultra or not will depend on the colour options. I have a 13ProMax and it’s a perfectly capable phone, so apart from USB-C and a new camera I’m struggling to think of anything that will justify a new phone, so they better have a nice ‘hero’ colour this year to convince me, otherwise I’ll be waiting till the 16

I could also see apple some day (not the 15 but like the 16/17) removing the 6.1 inch pro and just start at like 6.4/6.5 inch pro with the ultra being 6.7 or more. This just moves the entire pricing bracket by 200-300 dollars and allows the iphone plus as the “premium” sub 1k phone.
More expensive pros is my guess as how apple will fix the iphone plus sales. Id still understand if they make the plus model cheaper by 50 bucks while making the pros $100 more expensive.
The incentive to go pro only works based on the poor pricing structure. More ppl would avoid the 14inch mbpro if the price of them on sale wasnt as close to the m2 mbair. Same for the ipads air vs pro and no different in iphones vs pro.
The very least they could do, is make the screen 75hz. But they won’t do that
