Warren you talking about the CM2250 Cummins and the fuel pump problems reminded me of a question I have. I'm thinking of starting an OTR company with all Detroits, either 515 horse DD15s or 16s, would it be overkill or a waste of money to check that fuel pump around 650,000 miles and replace it when needed? I was recently in a ~670,000 mile Freightliner and had the pump fail, put me out of work for almost a week because retarded Slavs are retarded
The last 6.8 I did I never took the pistons out of the new liners all the way. Just far enough to connect the connecting rod. But then you almost need a second set of hands to guide the rod past the liner orings while sliding everything in..
I really enjoy your videos they are full of info. I don’t think there is anything you can not do or tackle but always accomplish. You are dead on with your politics, so many people agree completely. You must have a dear for a wife to be willing to wash your coveralls. Just a working man. Keep it up.
been watching your videos for a while- I'd nearly consider emigrating from Australia in order to work with you and harvest your knowledge cause you're a damn good mechanic but dear god man stfu about politics- commies taking over and forcing everyone to take on electric vehicles…sure…if what passes for the left in popular American political discourse represents communism…it's crazy how many people repeat that as if it were gospel truth. anyways, keep it up man, you make me miss the trade
Thanks Warren, as always a great video. I am sure I broke rings more than a few times…. except for at a company where we had a precision turner who made us decent ring 'squeezers' from old liners, those were the best.
Testing electric cars in Scandinavian countries over the past 3 or 4 weeks, with the range being half the distance claimed and achieved at sea level and 100 degree's F.
Electric cars, there is a country in Europe that is considering banning them on certain days to save electricity… The state's control needs are increasing at our expense.
It amazes me how those pushing for the electric transportation boom to happen don't realize how much Earth has to be dug up in order to get enough Lithium to make one battery. It takes deisel powered heavy equipment to dig up the ground to send to the processing stage. Then acres and acres of settling ponds have to be dug. An electric powered excavator, dozer or haul truck won't keep up with demand. They will spend more time being recharged than being profitable. Our modern cars and trucks now are more fuel efficient and clean burning then ever, if something works don't break it is my way of seeing it. Save the planet, good idea but who will save us from those who want to destroy our economy. I really like your videos Warren, your a hard working man who knows his stuff very well.
sweeet …. re your comment on electric …. me tinks electric will take over like the large earth moving/mining equipment where the prime engine is diesel driving a generator and motion is accomplished with electric motors or hydraulics, eliminating some of the mechanical drive train/control …. are submarines not electric with battery, nuclear or diesel powered generators? ..just sayin' keep up the great vids, bro!
Think it’s bad here European Parliament has banned all fossil fuel vehicle sales starting in 2035 .. I suspect it’s going to happen in the PROC . That’s not china
Hey warren , man your top shelf. Just curious, when you were talking splash lube on rod bearings . Ain’t there a oil passage in the crank ? Obviously crank upper bearing has a hole for oil to pass through. As I’m typing this you clarified it . Haha I’ll send it anyway. Yeah must be relying on the piston cooling jet for lube on small end
20s and 30s as soon as I seen CAN codes, I’m changing every terminator related to the which system it’s calling for, premiums are normally every system haha.
The couple that moved from Texas will find out just how screwed up California is and will wish they had never left Texas; of course, if you kicked all the Californians out of Texas, life would be a better place; matter of fact, if you chased all the California people back to California, the world would be a better place. The Californians chased me out of Bend, so I moved to Washington to find the Oregon democrats moving to Washington because they were not happy with Oregon, but they brought their Oregon democrat ways with them
Warren, you have this political system spot on; what I like is you are not afraid to speak your piece on it so many think it but don't voice it as we should. To top off your a good mechanic to boot
I agree 💯 percent !!! Its not hard to see they even come right out and said it that they were going to make gas super expensive to be a disincentive for people to buy it . Then they force you into a EV and they can completely control if you go or don't go ! They will be able to shut you off whenever they feel like it if you don't comply it boggles my mind that people could of voted for more of this
I for one get it about they want to remove our freedom, They think this all about going green, But they don't realize once they have a electric car and they limit the power you done you not going any where unless you walk or bicycle. Your food will be grown by people working the fields by hand not tractors . Wake up America !
Went to Napa bought a headlight bulb plan on tackling that job tonight. Came home with case of parts cleaner spray, blue shop paper towels and realized I don't have any parts to clean, I'm not a mechanic nor do I have the tools to do anything. Warren, it's your fault.
Those John Deere engine are bullet proof and easy to work on, I agree with Warren the Cummins are always dropping liners and blowing head gaskets they are a headache.
Appreciate the videos Warren. I’m looking for a good ring Compressor for John Deere 466 pistons, I have them in an Allis Chalmers Engine. My Snap On Ring Compressor is just a little too small. I think they are 4-9/16” pistons, my compressor stops at 4.5”. Thanks for your time, sir.

He's not talking about Adept Ape, prelubing his engines . He has a good channel, cut him some slack. Lol
What’s going on with the C15 swap in the background??
12/1 Heavy snowfall Klamath Falls this evening. Thoughts are with Warren and his family..
Great video Warren really enjoy watching you work on these JD tractors and your commentary stay safe Warren.

With the dirt in there I am surprised that the small end rod bearing are not shot.
Thanks for the ride along and update, looking forward to seeing the engine fire up for the first time.
He’s the kinda folks that make the world go around!! Straight shooter and no BS!!! I sure enjoy his videos!!!
Great video Warren. I don't know how you keep track of all of the parts.
