LineageOS 101 – 3-Button Navigation Includes an Invert Layout Switch



LineageOS 20 includes the 3-button navigation bar feature and you can even swap the layout to put the back button on the right side.

If you prefer the 3-button navigation option then LineageOS 20 has your back. This feature can be enabled by opening up the Settings app

Scrolling down and tapping on the System option
Tapping the Gestures menu
And then selecting the System Navigation feature

From here, make sure you select 3-button Navigation and you should see your navigation buttons appear at the bottom of the screen.
It even has an additional setting that allows you to enable or disable the long-press action for the Home button to launch the assistant.

And if you prefer to have the back button on the right side of the screen, then head back into the Settings app
Select the System option
Choose the Buttons menu

And then enable the Invert Layout toggle to make the Back and Recents buttons swap places.
