LineageOS 20 has a feature called One-Handed Mode that can be found by opening up the Settings application
Scrolling down to the System option
Then tapping into the Gestures menu
And finally selecitng the One-Handed Mode option
This feature is disabled by default to prevent people from accidentally triggering it, but once enabled, you can easily reach the top of the screen by performing a simple swipe down gesture near the bottom edge of the screen.
This One Handed Mode gesture should work no matter what application you have open, and can even be used while viewing the Home Screen of your launcher.
If you’re not a fan of this feature, you may enjoy the option that allows this simple gesture to expand the notification panel.
