Starting at the marina & Cruising Yacht Club, there are many vessels moored up. Identifying all of them would be a challenge, especially considering access to the jetties is highly restricted.

More notable vessels include Newcastle ferry MV Hunter, former Sydney ferry Lady Herron, former Royal Australian Navy vessel HMAS Hawkesbury & former Sea Shepherd vessel Steve Irwin.

Moving on to Queens Wharf, we see MV Shortland on the Stockton ferry service. Dredger David Allan makes a couple of appearances.

Bulk carriers Minerva Nike (Malta) leaves port bound for Vietnam while Ultra Panache (Singapore) arrives from China. They are supported by various Svitzer tugs as if they were members of the Thunderbirds to help the bulk carriers enter or leave the harbour.

Moving on to Honeysuckle near Lee Wharf, we see some moored vessels including Nova Cruises’ The Princess & the former Lake Mac ferry. William The Fourth replicates Australia’s first steam powered boat.

Meanwhile, former Sydney ferry Ann Sargeant has moved on from Newcastle. Previously parked where the Lake Mac Ferry is now moored, the former HarbourCat has moved north to Coffs Harbour, moving just before Christmas.
