The world’s first uncrewed goods transport at sea that has been approved by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate and the Coastal Administration for completely unmanned goods transport with a small commercial cargo ship.
The operation is managed in accordance with the Maritime Rules and monitored from Maritime Robotics’ operations center on land. The vessel has a redundant propulsion solution and communication line.
Maritime Robotics will be able to use such uncrewed goods transport between our head office in Trondheim and our production premises in Vanvikan. This project has been sponsored by the national Norwegian collaboration project ZAWAS – short for Zero-emission Autonomous Water Shuttles.
