Love these 3-minutes of maritime… Thanks so much.
Thar she rolls. The Great White Boat!
All of the containers now pose a danger to shipping as they often float just below the waterline and are very difficult to spot. Plus, there is the possible ecological danger from potentially hazardous contents. If the fire was caused by the contents of one or more containers that would not be the first time, although contents should be checked and loaded appropriately.
I thought shipping containers had vents along the top. Why dont they sink?
one of these clips brings back memories of many years ago……i was bringing tea and biscuits up to the bridge for the pilot and old man…..we were in the River Schelde en route to Antwerp on a British oil tanker…. just as i got to the bridge everything started spinning around me…..the steering gear failed and we proceeded to collide with the river bank…. the collision ruptured a couple of tanks below the water line causing a large crude oil spill!…..BP were NOT flavour of the month with the Belgians :).
we spent months in dry dock getting a large rupture repaired…. got to know Antwerp and the surroundings very well :).
love these wee videos!
I am wondering what they do with those containers on the water? Let Robert Redford hit one with his sail boat?
What a mess!! (The Indonesian clip I mean)
Anyone who gets onto any ferry west of Japan is taking a heck of a gamble with their life.
Get rid of the fucking intro
Amazing that the diners just sat there as the ship bore down on them! Could have ended very differently. Great video.

🤗👍💚💚💚. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND
That was a very smooth move by Smooth Sea 18 in Bangkok. It came soooo close to that dock diner but glided ever so smoothly to a quiet stop. That was a close one!
Oops
You'd think someone would design a container retrieval vehicle for times when so much salvage is up for grabs. Thunderbird 2 wasn't it? 😉
Great video! I really like the added narration. Thanks for sharing, have a great weekend 🙂
This was the best yet!
Who designes these ferry boats? No draft, little stability.

Another RORO goes down. Why does this happen so often?
👍but where is the last 9 sec of the 3 minutes ? 😉😊😊
you should but some of these on youtube shorts, loads more people would love these. just a suggestion.
Referencing the ferry capsizing (sic?) in Indonesia, were the drivers of the vehicles and possibly passengers of the vehicles still onboard? Or did they manage to get everyone off the boat before it capsized? Do you know?
Big container salvaging job, imagine hitting the bloody things submerged where you can't see them, one of the reasons I don't like composite hulls, don't care if they are supposed to withstand hitting one, still going to be expensive damage to repair.
Interesting!
Oi! Short changed by 9 seconds. 😁
At 1:00 that looks like life raft containers bobbing in the water, not released. 😬
☺ !! Thank you !!
Muie mah!
