I wonder if the iPhone stays in 100 for so long is because it lies. They could compress the percentages from 100-95 or something, compress that into a 100 and change the rest since everytime it drops a percent after that, it takes a significantly less amount of time to drop

Dont forget that with this chip in the S23U and the Snapdragon 8+G1 you can toggle light mode which is insanely good in terms of performance and somehow boosts the battery even more. Its what makes the Z fold 4 easily last a day for me. Its that big a difference.
The problem with Samsung is the signal antenna I think is a problem there and that is maybe draining the battery so much. In some areas I don’t have any signal with s23 but with i phone I still have signal, is strange but worth to investigate this issue in my opinion and experience.
Was the "Always On Display" On on both the phones ?
For anyone curious, the reason why the iPhone discharges faster from 100% from when it drops is because it's not really at those percentages. Idk why apple does this but they do. The phone over tells it's battery life on purpose and some tech reviewers usually will tell you this but if apple actually actually reported, it would still be slightly higher than Samsung but not much.

Actually using S23 Ultra at it's max resolution is not comparable to iphone, since the S23 Ultra's screen has double resolution! Even on that it lasted longer, so imagin if this was a real fair comparison!

I've noticed the iPhone is programmed to say 100% longer on purpose. Once it hits 99% it seems to drop percentage much quicker.

Good comparison. I would like to see more of this kind of real world usage comparisons. A lot of times the specs don't tell the real story. I like the Samsung's selfie video quality more and iPhone's bright screen for outside map use. Samsung also has a larger screen. Tough choices for people looking for a new phone.

From what I understand, the iPhone's battery percentage status stays at 100% for as long as possible, even while the actual phone isn't there. It's a way of making the customer feel like they're getting more out of buying the product.

iPhone's battery is not showing the real drain from 100% to 95%, while using it for 1 hour it will stay close to 100% the suddenly drops to 90% so it has a shitty battery with a "glitch" showing the real state of battery percentage to trick users 😆
