Just got this phone to replace my Moto G Power (2020) due to a cell carrier change. Even though it's over a year and a half newer, it feels like a slight downgrade. The 5G is nice, but I barely notice it, and the build quality, battery, and display are all noticeably worse than the Motorola.

give me 10 years and appke and samsung wont be alone anymore

Using a51.n it's still fast to me. No issues at all

TattleTeller

720p is just a deal-breaker. I would never recommend any phone with a 720p screen for anyone.

was hoping more detail on the sd card or extra storage information

I’ve never owned a Samsung phone before but this one looks really good for a budget device. I’ve seen reviews on it and people mostly complain about the display, cameras, and lack of dual speakers. Those things are important but for $250 you’ll trade some things on any phone in that price range. I’d rather have great performance with calls, texts, surfing the web, and general use. Displays aren’t a huge deal to me because I’ve never owned an amoled over the top phone. Cameras at this price point aren’t gonna be great either but it gets the job done. Dual speakers would be the biggest problem for me because it makes a huge difference. Again though, considering it’s price the A13 offers a lot and those things aren’t dealbreakers. Trust me, if you get a current Motorola at that price range you’ll get trade offs too. You’ll get dual speakers and maybe a slightly better display but you’ll have atrociously horrible phone call quality, processors that don’t age well, and limited updates to support the device. For the price segment, you gotta decide which trade offs you can live with. The A13 5G looks really good for what it does for the price.

Removal of Charger in midrange phones is a no brainer….most probably they are going to remove sd card support & headphone jack

crlaw75

One thing that annoys me (not on this phone) is the newer phones don't even HAVE a headphone jack (this one luckly does).
Samsung wants you to get a converter device that connects to the USB-C outlet and converts to a headphone jack for $20 and it is not even located in the right spot to begin with!

Smart view for TV mirror?

crlaw75

My biggest complaint is the headphone hole at the bottom.

Nice job on the review and I have to agree I lived in Southeast Asia for 20-ish years and there is so much more choice in this price range outside the US it’s not in funny Vivo, Realme,Oppo,Xiaimi and I’m sure others who I can’t remember at this point.
