It’s a close call on most levels – these Samsung earbuds offer better audio quality, but only if you have a Galaxy smartphone, while Google’s Pixel buds sport the best assistant support. But for ANC smarts, design and features, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are equal to the Pixels. Battery life goes to Google, as these earphones can only manage just over five hours of playback with noise cancelling active. And both serve up a compact case with wireless charging support.
So that’s my review of the Samsung Buds 2 Pro, upgraded true wireless earbuds that aren’t cheap but worth that cash. As long as you have more Sammy gear for them to get along with. What do you reckon, tempted even at that high asking price?

I'm trying to buy my first pair of earbuds after being given an old no-name brand pair of earbuds to use. There are SO many choices 🙁 do you have any videos with comparisons of mid-price-range earbuds? Or do I just work my way through all the vids 😅 I'm in Australia btw 🙂
Pixel buds pro are on sale now for $175. Wish I waited even tho it was worth $199. Who does want to save $25 😆

No mention of transperancy mode. The biggest reason I haven't upgraded my Airpods pro is because their transparency mode is absolutely phenomenal.

I am one of those audiophile nuts, about 30+ years. Not to brag, but my stereo is about 20k.
So far I have owned original Galaxy Buds, own 2 pairs of Buds Pro (1 at office, 1 for home), and now this new Buds2 Pro
Buds2 Pro sound quality is far superior to the original Pro.
Particularly channel separation and little detail.
I love these Buds2 Pro! Big thumbs up!
I think the original samsung galaxy buds that came out in 2019 are still better. I think samsung somehow finds a way to make their headphones just a bit more uncomfortable to wear as each new model comes out.
Did they fix the mic issues with the original buds pro? They didnt sound really great to me in this review tbh.

My understanding is that the galaxy buds do work with google assistant. you just have to go into your settings and change the default from Bixby to google. I've heard people say say it only works with Bixby but I read and seen videos of people changing the assistant. I haven't tried this yet but I could be incorrect. Anyone have any input?
I own the first buds pro and left a bud in my pocket shorts went through the wash and still work perfectly

I have the Galaxy Buds Pro and I was able to choose Google Assistant instead of Bixby in the Wearables app. Did they take this away for the Buds Pro 2?
The funny thing is buds 2 pro has three different EQ in AND /transparent/normal mode,ANC mode has lots bass and normal mode just kind balance.i hope Samsung will fix this after the new update

I bought my buds 2 very recently and I have been facing problems such as they do not connect or basically stopped connecting when I try to go live on Tiktok or Instagram live and also another app called Yalla.
I have tried reseting my earbuds but still its not working.
Please kindly help 🙏

So you're telling me I can activate Google assistant with long pressing my galaxy buds pro but on the buds pro 2 you can only activate Bixby and no Google assistant???
Earbuds are interesting, I am just not to comfortable stuffing my body orifices with foreign objects, except for food maybe but that's just one orifice.
Unfortunate you don't mention that ldac and aptx are purely marketing hype. Standard Bluetooth AAC is absolutely plenty to be beyond the limit of human hearing

I just ordered a set today from Samsung. They were 229.99 USD but they gave me 75.00 USD in a trade of my Galaxy Buds and also threw in a wireless charging pad with travel adapter (supposedly a 59.99 USD value). I feel it was a pretty good deal that way. Can't wait till I get them now.

How do they fit? The buds+ and the linkbuds s are fit kings for me. I'm kind of sad about battery life considering they have up to 12 hours on the buds +! Why can't we have that when anc is off like the xm4s.

Bixby just ended my interest in the Samsung choices for digital assistant. Bye Samsung , Bixby is total crap . I don't care how good it works because there's only room for 1 assistant in my life .
Noticed your voice didn't sound as clear as I've heard people on some buds. Wondering if noise cancellation wasn't being as effective as it could be. Got both Buds ± and Buds pro and tested recording of my voice which usually sounds clear without to much distortion.
I've never had anything like this before, my lifestyle a drab. Am I to assume I can answer calls with these. Only want them for the gym but my partner gets aggravated when I miss her calls lol
