We were not ready for this new Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro because it comes packing some serious punch. The misconception from the get go was that the Galaxy watch 5 pro was going to be the replacement to the very popular Samsung galaxy watch 4 classic from last year. Some of the cosmetic changes along with the specs loaded in this smartwatch lets us know that it is playing in a completely different league. Whether you are looking for a smartwatch for hyper activity, like rock climbing, high level hiking, marathon and much more this might just be the one for you.

Is it faster than the Watch 4? I still hold onto my Watch 3 with Tizen and rotating bezel. The battery is showing its age, but it's still very good. The performance, though… Tizen is faster than WearOS, apps be damned.
Bought this but doesn't work with all smartphones….also on not Samsung phone ecg,bloodpressure doesn't work….Very disappointed… You can get ECG working but ….
Excellent review, Ivan! I received my GW5P on August 23rd, and I love it! I traded in my GW4, but I'm keeping my GW4C for dressing up. The GW5P battery life is crazy good 👍🏿. Plus, it's lighter than the GW4C.
Samsung can be so stupid sometimes… what madness caused them to remove the rotating bezel??
Did you have all the features turned on to get that percentage of battery???
I ordered the 5 anyway but I'm gonna miss the rotating bezel on my 3 big time. Now I'm worried I won't be able to answer calls when my hands are dirty/have gloves on and can't press on the screen.
I pre-ordered the Watch 5 Pro, Buds 2 Pro, and Flip 4. Bundled with trade-in $500. I do miss the rotating bezel, but the battery life makes the trade-off worthwhile – IMHO. Did message Sammy asking for a Watch 6 Pro Classic model that would bring the bezel back. (I don't care if is a little taller or heavier.) We'll see. But with Dante63's mod to get BP working, I'm completely satisfied with .

I bet that at some point they bring a watch out with the rotating bezel. Call it Samsung watch 5 fan edition. Just another money making tactic
I received my watch 5 last Thursday and although I don’t have that many apps running in the background, I have been charging it in the morning while taking my shower. For the past 3 days I have had 50-70% battery left taking about 30 miles to recharge. Which is an improvement from the Watch 4. Based on my experience I am pleased. The one thing I am looking for is the FCC/FDA to allow the blood pressure to be enabled.
Great information on the watch. The screen shows Spotify and other icons that work with wifi but if you are outside running or hiking would you need a phone line to make it work like when you use your phone or will work without the phone to listen to your music or your running app.

For me the lack of that physical bezel makes it a no buy. Design-wise the 4 classic looks like the newer model and the 5 pro is what the design of an older model to the 4 classic looks like (in my opinion)
