Quoted from Samsung Display – Eco² OLED Plus is a non-polarizing low-power technology that is further enhanced than Eco Square OLED (Eco² OLED TM ), which was first implemented on the 'Galaxy Z Fold 3' last year. Compared with general OLED, the panel power consumption is reduced by 37% and the light transmittance is 1.6 times improved.

UPC Plus is a full-screen technology by eliminating the camera hole on the screen, and the perceived resolution is increased by 1.4 times compared to the previous 'Galaxy Z Fold 3'.

Yep, Reporting from Gizmochina (17/8), Eco2 OLED is one of the first screens to replace the polarizer. So, the polarizing plate, which is typically used in OLED panels, lowers the brightness by up to 50% as it tries to increase visibility by blocking light from outside the panel.
“The Eco2 OLED panel not only optimizes pixel density, but with the added benefit of removing the polarizer, more light is exposed to the camera below the display, thereby increasing transmission in the camera module.

All those talk about the crease being better and less prominent. Smh it's exactly the same as last year.
Samsung should fired their Design and Creative CEOs. Fold 4 is just mediocre at best. Gadgetmatch should try the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 or Vivo X Fold. Both devices are way better then this overhype launch fold.

Not cheap the Galaxy Z fold is 12gb/1TB cost in New Zealand at $3549.00. something to ponder.
All it needed was a Note style S-Pen socket, I think I'll stick with the third and wait for the fifth. oh well.

Samsung notification problems put me off..i have the s21 ultra..my iPad notifications pop up instantly..my Samsung phone shows them 30 minutes later…Samsung know the issue but don’t care..it’s all over the forums
