Projectors on their way out! Can't wait for home MicroLED 150" 8K120 TVs!

Isaac Baiden

That's mega. It's going to be great by all standards
It can easily replace projectors in our home cenimas and be used outdoors

ewwwt

what they need is displayport to run 240hz. hdmi 2.1 can only run 120hz.

Sully

they need to just release price of each panel.

How bright can Micro LED get?

Jon Evans

I wonder how far you have to sit from a 4K 140 inch screen for it to look great? Not that I'm expecting it to be for normal mortals. Presumably if you can afford it, it's going in a massive home theatre room and the chairs probably cost more.

i like how the background is so dark that you can't confirm the bezel sizes through the video

Flagship devices such as the *S series and the Fold series are meant to be for the tech enthusiast* *and the power user* and they should offer the best technology has to offer in the moment they come out and should let the user have the **maximum flexibility**.

*The SD card* slot lets you have a *local backup* of your data which is super useful to expand the storage and *increase the lifespan* of your device and comes in handy if *terminal damage* is suffered by the device since it will result in *no data loss* if it was backed up on the SD card *(and yes, I am speaking about your precious photos and digital memories)*.

Of course you can use a USB drive or a payed cloud service but the flexibilty of the SD card slot is undisputable: you have your data saved locally and you can access it regardless of the internet connection as long as you have your phone in your pocket.

*The headphone jack* is another piece of tech which companies and their fanboys are saying is old and "outdated" but if *paired with a good integrated DAC-AMP* it can offer much *better audio quality* compared to the expensive wireless earbuds you can get for your device *without* suffering from the bluetooth connection *audio* *latency* too.

Even if you do not care about hi-res audio or do not have any good cabled headphones or you prefer using wireless earbuds (*like I do*) it still gives you a lot of *flexibility: in an emergency situation* or in situations where managing both the charging of your device and your of your buds can be a problem and being able to plug a pair of cabled buds comes really in handy. And no, a stupid *dongle is not a solution**: double wear and tear to your USB-C port, worse audio quality and **you cannot charge your device while using the headphones* which is a real bummer.

With this standards going away and becoming almost special "features" *phone manufacturers such as Samsung should start re-implementing them* for one simple reason: people got used to buying bigger memory cuts and wireless earbuds and there is no more need to push for their sales by removing the slot and the jack, furthermore *since almost no one has them on their flagships* it can be used as a *marketing point* because many enthusiast people and a lot of common non-techy people still care about this "features" and it is only a vocal minority of the users which say that they are outdated: they are a few compared to the world's population but are more vocal hence why companies feel authorised to remove things from the devices and the boxes (the charger in the first place).

On my side I have had only Samsung devices and I personally think that Samsung is the only company in the Android space which can put together the best hardware and software to offer a complete experience, I did not write this because I am a hater but because I truly want them to rock with their 2024 lineup and push the industry forward which is needed in this moment of stalling.

In conclusion I would like to add this last few words: the Galaxy S10 plus was the last Samsung flaghsip to have the headphone jack and the heartrate sensor while the Note 20 Ultra was the last Samsung flagship to feature the SD card slot and both devices are regarding by many as the last great Samsung flagships and this is for a reason Samsung.
