It’s the Best TV of the Year 2022 for a few very good reasons in my opinion, it’s not perfect though!

Been an awesome TV since day 1.. almost finalised sony A95K but in the end it wasnt worth the Sony Tax.. Samsung has done a great job..

krazyolie

Was wavering and now they appear to be sold out here.
I’ve seen people have so many issues with build quality and the like I’m tempted to give it a miss, especially as customer service here is generally poor

Alan McCabe

Do they do a version around 48 to 50 inches it's all I have room for. Thanks if you can help. Alan

Kevin Cordes

I actually bought the C2 a week ago, think it’s worth exchanging for the S95b. C2 is beautiful but is the Samsung that much more impressive it worth losing Dolby. Both are same price for me.

Richard Clements

S95 or qd95?

dinnersat630

Do you think the S95 would work as a pc monitor? I know about burn in but I just wonder how sensitive they are if it came down to watching things like Twitch on a regular basis or video editing and other things with static images on them. I wonder if it would be ok? The visuals on it look amazing.

joy wonderful

s95b game king!
Sony is a company that doesn't have the skills to make gaming TV!

Midge

honestly its such a better value then the a95k. i think theirs more of a conversation to be had with the lg g2 and the s95b

BaSiC47

I've got a 85" QN85A over a year ago and now I'm not sure if it was the right decision. Maybe I should have waited for the 65" S95B. But then I would have a much smaller TV.

Lborg

I went to my friends last week and saw his S95B.. I have a 2008 Pioneer Kuro and was expecting great things.. I took my blu ray of Raiders of the lost Ark because I know how it should look.. It was bloody dreadful on the S95B??? Filmmaker mode is dire.. It's green?? Very disappointed as I was going to buy a S95B.

JP

Would Sony be 1, Samsung 2, and LG 3? Thanks for the review

James Estrada

Samsung quality SUCKS! Nothing Samsung creates lasts for more than a few years – if that!

Key Ranger

A95K blows this TV away!!!!

Allan Bailey

Just purchased this the other day been waiting for the 65inch one to get below £1500 with the 15% discount voucher I had. When I seen it was costing me £1444 I snapped it up… Coming on Monday and can't wait. It's an upgrade from my 55 inch Samsung Q90R, hopefully no kinks in the unit and it's straight, also what is this TV like on the wall as imagine won't be fully flush but will it look ok sticking out a tiny bit?

Supreme TaaanXz

The C2, G2, LZ2000B and A95K are all better than the S95B. Samsungs software and downright dogshit quality control majorly holds this TV back

fushmontor

Too many ways i'm sold

I have my 65 inch SB95 in a very bright room and loving the decision. Truly hate the OS, but it’s cheaper to fix with something like the new Apple TV with HDR10+ support.

Paul Carpenter

Real, normal people have to consider price and I think your conclusion makes complete and utter sense. Even the exceedingly rich people I know still think about what things cost, and spending 2x as much for a few percentage points better is a poor calculation for almost everyone.

Stephen Rhodes

Plumped for the LG G2 which has a staggering picture & pretty punchy sound. The operating system is a delight to use & it's also a pretty good value proposition too.
The Samsung was available to buy but was on back order, i'm assuming it's a popular telly at the moment. Obviously i couldn't be botherd waiting but had it been available i may have chosen it instead.

Peter Peter

Is the c2 plenty bright in a dark enviroment?

Max Jerome

Great review, appreciate the great comparison.

Geo Fousteris

One of the best tvs is the qn900b,very underrated by the (experts) you tubers,in my opinion is a beast

Deepak Muralee

Tried both c2 77 inch and 65 inch s95b. Even with the bigger size favoring lg, my eyes could not unsee the better panel of the Samsung.

Kept the s95b.

SLHD

Making your opinions on tvs in the shop is the dumbest thing iv ever heard.

Marc Se7en

I don't know about REVIEWING TV's … With a voice like yours, you should be doing TV VOICEOVERS! … You have the perfect voice for it! … Perhaps you could be a continuity announcer on the BBC?

One thing puzzles me; HOW is it that I can appreciate the amazing TV pictures viewed on my CHEAP TABLET, with the brightness set low, and with Blue Light Filter function switched on?

poikatiikeri

i wish somebody would make a comparison between the philips 807 oled. It’s the same price range and has the evo panel c2 has and supports all the hdr variants

colin uk

I want a decent 55inch but really don't want to go above £750,. Any ideas?

Bout Ye

The TV cabinet looks fantastic,I would be grateful if you could please tell me what make it is and also the Lamps if you know the information, thank you

wesley290

Still the usual fake and oversaturated picture that Samsung is known for.

BIBFIVE

I have The S95B in 65 inch here in France and it is incredible, unbelievable, amazing, beautiful, etc…
I have never seen a quality picture like this in my entire life !!! I saw The C2, G2, A95K in a store before I ordered my S95B ! And my eyes told me « buy The S95B man !!! » 😂

sbowesuk

Sorry but I just don't trust this Samsung TV enough to buy it, even at half its original price. There's just too much drama surrounding this product, e.g. bent panels and firmware downgrades.

The firmware downgrades are especially worrying, since that implies that Samsung are concerned about how this TV will age over time. They know things we don't, so them pulling the performance back so much is a red flag to me.

Add it all up, and I don't view this as a safe buy at all. Remember, LG and Sony have been vigorously tested in this space. Samsung has not.

boria0

I'm choosing between this and jz2000. What would you recommend?
Btw any chance you could take a look at u8hq. I'm fully aware it's different from u8h. But nobody reputable made a direct comparison to anything. So it's impossible to know how good/bad u8hq really is

David Flint

I have always wanted an OLED. but could not justify the price. Bought my S95B second week of Oct. £1099 55" Picture is absolutely stunning I have even had to tone down the brightness a bit in Filmaker mode.
My GF said I was mad to pay over £400 for a TV. I put on the Trailer for Avatar 2 4k HDR. After she picked her jaw up off the floor, she agreed it's worth it.
My justification for paying that kind of money for a high end TV atm?
This thing I should have for many years, and has a 5 yr warranty so cancels the new tech argument for me I pay not far off that for a phone every two years because the battery starts to fall off after that, and at the time getting a 0% on purchases for 27 months CC was easy, cost less than my phone a month and will last longer.

Liam Moss

What’s your thoughts between the Samsung and the g2

Zak Danahay

I got this TV today, well I had one delivered yesterday however it wouldn’t even power on, so I took it back and I was looking at the Sony equivalent, which was I believe a £100 difference in price in Currys, the build quality on the Sony did look better, but how my set up is at home I need all the ports on the right of the TV and Sony’s was on the left. Prior to that I had a Samsung QLED that was also faulty, so this TV today has been my third in a week, plus the TV I have replaced is a Samsung, that has lasted me nearly 7 years, but I must say I feel a bit let down by Samsung, with 2 tv’s not working. Third time lucky, I hopefully have no more problems. The short amount of time iv watched it tonight, it does have that wow factor in regards to the picture quality. A side note, it’s a bit of a faff wall mounting this TV, with the holes being so low down and not central, but again this looked similar to the other OLED’s in the shop. Great channel on here and has been my go to place for research on this TV 👍🏼

Sebastian

I currently own a Samsung MU6279 LCD TV 55 inches from 2016. I am thinking of upgrading to the S95B since I think it's all I've ever wanted and the price dropped insanely. I have a PS5 and mainly would use it for gaming and streaming services. The thing with my current TV is that it's just not bright enough anymore for my liking. Something I also wanted to get rid of are the black greys beacuse of the LCD. I also want incredibly popping colors and 120Hz. The only problem with OLED TVs was that they weren't bright enough. The S95B seems perfect to me since it has all I would want. Does it make sense to switch? I could get it for 1232€ with student discount directly on samsungs website. Of course it's still a lot of money but I am really into tech and I pretty much know what I buy and would make the maximum use out of it's new features. The only thing that worries me extremely is that I heard that they had problems with bending, and it would be very bad if I unbox it and it would be bent. I have seen a bent 65 inch model in a store already….. I want the 55 inch model.

ottokern1001

Great review keep up the good work! By the way you heard of the service menu hack that restores 1500 nits in ffm? Im currently running it and it gives me fw 1211 vibes. Its truly impressive

Ufuk Dinçadam

I have been watching your channel with pleasure for a long time, and thanks to your detailed analysis of many products, within I have many ideas about the products.

The country I live in is neither the USA nor the UK, and the price difference is minor between the Samsung S95B 65inc is £1819, LG C2 OLED Evo 65inc TV is £2009, and Sony A80K 65inc is £1940.

Such as between £100-190 at most. Would you still prefer Samsung if there is no significant price difference, or did you not care about the price difference?

On the other hand, I would like you to consider when sharing your advice that I will put the TV in the family room Environmental/Outdoor lighting beyond my control causes various glare, even on the LED TV screen that I am currently using.

Mythoti

The S95B is the people's champ, future tech for the everyday person, in 3 years I'll consider Sony's version when there are larger sizes and brighter panels, plus hopefully they'll have their gaming act together by then with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports and a gaming hub of their own, they show some gamers some love then they'll get my hard earned money

Steve Muller

But still no Dolby Vision lol

Jordan's channel

I think the g2, it comes in sizes 55-97 and is right there in terms of brightness with the s95b, I respectfully disagree sir 🙂 love the video tho, but 97 and 83 is just too bad ass

Stavers

What expert settings and picture mode do you run on it? Curious to find out the optimal settings

NexGenTek

Spot on video. Im running an older firmware hitting 1500nits. Blows my mind!!

brent waid

Sony may be more “accurate” but not for the price difference.

Michael Talbot

I am thinking of getting this TV but i can buy it with a delivery option were they unbox it and set it up, I will do that because if it is bent they can take it back and bring me another one. As for the OS i will be using my new Amazon TV fire cube anyway so i am not really bothered.

I agree, i think this is the best TV of 2022 as well, the Sony A95K is better but it is not a £1000 better more like £200 – £400 max. Also the stand would also be a problem as i would have to buy a new TV cabinet, i do love that Sony though it is awesome.

DerekPages

If 1000nits is high enough, why not get the c2 with better qc?

Rene Kuhn

Have 65 inch wish it has dolby vision the stand in very flimsy
