HDR2000 to HDR1000 from previous Odyssey G9… sad
gonna have to wait for the 5090 to enjoy this lol
I know people harp on Samsung QA issues but you have to give them credit for really pushing monitor tech and ridiculousness.😂
I don’t see Samsung released this 8k (4k super ultra wide monitor) other than 8k sounds good on paper to the uninitiated. A 4K ultra wide (5120×2160) would have been far more in demand.
It’s basically 4k super ultrawide and it’s hilarious AMD was marking there DP2 with this monitor considering even a 4090 can’t drive monitor without turned down settings in AAA titles 😂
That Odyssey neo G9 is my dream monitor. I’m getting it day one.
57” is sim racers or flight simmers dream. No more triples.
i have a neo g8 with a 4090 and you can hit 4k 240 over dp1.4 nnot sure if thats even possible with a 4090 to hit dual 4k240 even with DSC and 7900xtx has the "ability" but likely
not strong enough to do it right so idk why they even made this instead of like a oled 4k240 at 32 inchs lol. why not just make a neo g8 oled at 4k
Is it known how many mini leds will be in the monitor? Couldn't find it.
i was waiting for oled 49 now i have have to wait for oled 57.. why samsung why
Where’s the flat 16.9 oleds at? Every size, and shape coming out apart from the basic 27 and 32 inch versions! Doing my head in 🤦🏼
Why is the OLED G9 only 1800R curved though, I don't understand that.
I'd love to see someone just push a 5K240hz monitor right now.
If Samsung can do Dual 4K at 240hz then 5K240hz is well within reason.
Hi @viktors reality here is my question from previous video I ordered the neo G7 which is I didn't receive it so I have chance to cancel it to order LG 27 oled monitor I need monitor only for gaming not work do you think LG OLED is better than neo G7?
Thanks
I wonder what are the amount of Local Dimming Zones on that Dual 4k 57 inch SUPER Ultrawide? 🤔
Call me a mad man but I am going to use the 57 inch model as a 38 inch monitor (5120×2160 at 21:9).
I currently have the Neo G9 and use it in 3440×1440 21:9 with black bars.
AAAAAWWWWW CRAP!!! I Do not like smart features…. I want a monitor NOT A TV! If I wanted Smart features I would go out and get me a TV! 🙄
G9 qled 49 qhd looks like a winner.
Hope it will cost ~1500$, if 2200$ or more, i guess 2300$ price there will be…then no.
Where is dell/alienware 240hz qled monitor???
Samsung always pushing it to the limits🔥🔥🔥
Now that Neo G9 57" will put the 4090 to do some heavy lifting now. Because I assure you, there is no other Gpu with that kind of power to move a 57", 4k, 240hz monitor. And plus DP 2.1? Now we will able to see the new AMD GPU lineup power. People have been benchmarking the 7900 XTX but with DP 1.4 monitors. Let's see now how the 7900 XTX perform, and if DP 2.1 will make any difference in performance (which I'm pretty sure it will)
That 57 inch monitor will be incredible for MFS
Used to think I would rather want a 21:9 2K height QD-OLED monitor than a 1440p height super ultrawide, but I'm probably going to end up buying the OLED 49 incher anyway unless I experience it as being too short for immersion. If it supports proper screenspace segmentation into multiple virtual monitors, it has the added benefit of being able to comfortably have a chat open on one side and a web page or something else on the other side while using what is effectively a QHD screen in the middle for a game or video/stream for high FPS requiring games or games where you want to have off-game socials in view. And then when one wants full immersion for immersive single player games, the option to use the entire screen for a game is always there. And for work or other productivity activities, 2x or even 3x screen segmentation on it would be great.
Hopefully they learned enough with the ARK monitor about how give the user easy to use discrete screen segmentation and put it into practice as a feature with this new generation.
The problem with Samsung is always QC, if they nailed the QC those monitor will dominate.
what a confusing naming
Do you having any interest in buying cooler master GP27U from me?
I could trade my triple Neo G8's for a single 57" Neo G9 🤔 That probably wouldn't work well for sharing my screen on a Zoom session though lol
Got to respect the fast coverage on news like this, thank you for the content, subscribed.
I can't decide between the 57 mini led and 49 OLED… Extra screen space and Res Vs OLED….
57"?? wtf is that aspect ratio?
black bars are already bad on 49" 32:9 horizontally.
with that would we see increased horizontal bars or introduce vertical black bars in games that only support 16:9.
How much will it cost?
not even a 4090 has dp2.1
a 7900xtx at DWUHD 8k will be lucky to get 60hz in most titles.
if a 4090 super launched with dp2.1 id be interested, as im well aware that card can even support 3x4k monitor setup, but seeing as no gpu other then a 4090 can tackle such a monitor i think ill just settle with a 4090 and glamor with my DWQHD neo g9 at 240hz stably
Dag Vik. Monitors are coming out like crazy. Wow.
Great Video Victor!!🙌🙌 I Was Wondering When Do You Think These BadBoys Will Be Available Coz I Badly Need A Super UltraWide Monitor For Work?? Should I Wait Or Shall I Go With Current G9 Which I Don't Want To After Seeing New OLED G9 I Wanted To Buy G9 For Productivity And OLED G8 For Gaming But Now OLED G9 Is Perfect For Me Can't Wait!!!
fuck me. I was excited because I was hoping to replace my gen 1 odyssey G9 with an oled version, which turns out that's exactly what I could do! but that 57" is tempting me so bad.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, 2023 will be an experimental year with 2.1 DP. There will be glitches requiring firmware updates and issues resulting in variant models coming out.
57" is fine horizontally but with a ridiculous vertical mail box slit ratio lol. I guess its a 43:9 ratio lol. You are better off with an OLED 41 to 48" and get the better 16:9 ratio.
The roughly 8k resolution can only be driven by an i9 13th generation 4090 graphic card combo lol.
Then there is the price which will be about $3000 to $3500 here in Australia 😆
Damnnn this will be huge!!!
we have been waiting qdoled 27
QD-OLED monitors were supposed to arrive in the beginning of 2021.
2 years l8r.
Finally… arriving??
Supposedly due to the pandemic but I wouldn't hold my breath. They're slower than 🦥🦥 and 🐌🐌 with the release.
No gloss no sale.
I will tale my paycheck for being correct 😎😎😎👍
Yas if the dimensions r good
