iT'S A SHIP OTY SA
If the ferry was in the US, everyone but the captain would have been injured, with lawyers waiting at the dock when they arrived.
That first one waas pretty bad! He should pulled over till the storm passed! Lol!
Who wants to get waterfalls will soon be a thing on cruise ships?
Really enjoying this channel
The one on the ferry in The Netherlands, that's on the small passenger ferry operating between Maasluis and Rozenburg across the Nieuwe Waterweg. I use it a hell of a lot, and I'm frankly amazed how there's not more of this happening. It's a busy old stretch of the river, and these ferries are adept at dodging in and out bound traffic. A bit further up towards Rotterdam, there still remain the likes of the Waalhaven where pretty sizeable bulk carriers often load, and the cruise ships calling at Rotterdam Cruise Terminal have to use this stretch of the river.
The cruise ship taking water over the top deck is amazing.
First one…. I wonder how many people/ships have had that happen. The ship is hit by lightning and something small (but important) gets knocked out. Like one minute the ship's there and then it's not kinda thing.
We could be looking at what the fue minutes of a crew's life looks like right before they went to meet Davy Jones.
Example "Oh we got hit by lightning haha, we lost power to the "x" system. Let's get that back up and running plz"… *crew mills about*…. 2 hours later…rough wave hits. boom, gone..
Meanwhile on shore we just see a blip on the radar disappear and as far as we noticed back on land the ship meets its end right then and there..
Thankfully everyone made it home.
The 40tons of diesel. (And probably 20 tons of other hydrocarbons from the ships hydraulics, transmission, etc) really aren't that big of a deal to lose to the ocean… Considering we pumped 400 tons of radioactive waste water into the ocean every day for almost 5 years from Fukushima… I'll take 40 tons of diesel water over 400 tons of tritium water any day….
The 3rd one where the ship has a waterfall attraction added… Is it not irresponsible of the captain to do such a thing? Like don't get me wrong I'm not saying he should have ordered all ahead. Full, and rammed the raft. But isn't the safety of the crew and cargo/passengers one of his top priorities?
It would seem to me that potentially risking damage to the ship and putting the lives of hundreds of people over maybe 10 people in a raft is like putting the needs of a few above the needs of the meny. Not saying the captain is, wrong just asking…
The last one.
I wonder who had the most "Brown pants"…
The driver of the car at the moment of impact?
Or the person in charge of the helm when they realized what happened.
Glad everyone was ok and that you keep putting out these videos too.
They're wonderful distractions from my day to day BS ❤️
It appears that the ship that hit the bridge did not reverse until after the collision.
You can see a disturbance from a bow thruster forward after the hit.
2:20, after police investigated they concluded it was a stupid place to put a bridge.
Ah indonesia all care taken, no responsibilty accepted!
That tanker must not have seen the ferry. It didn't look like he was trying to avoid it or even slow down.
Luckily no one was injured
I came here to read comments by landlubbers and laughed at those by the commentator. The "ship swerved". A boat hit a bridge.
That deck on Harmony Of The Seas looks like a town centre street
Clearly the person filming the last collision is no good. WTF turn away the phone or camera at the most interesting moment????
Does anyone watch their TV sideways? I only ask as people always seem to film in portrait mode, it’s literally called portrait for a reason, they also have a landscape mode, hold the phone sideways and you get more in, more enjoyable for the viewer. Jee’s, can’t believe I need to say this in 2023.
The thumbnail kind reminds me of the movie call Poseidon but not
After thousands of years, some people have still not learned that you ALWAYS pass BEHIND another vessel, NEVER in front of it.
It’s about time that a Royal Caribbean ship has an incident!
Neither activated their warning horns? What's with Captain's nowadays?
Thanks for the video. Do you have any idea if the number of accidents like this are increasing or decreasing on a yearly basis? Now with phones having cameras a lot more accidents are captured and placed online.
I was hugely relieved to hear that all the Crew had previously been offloaded from that large vessel before it capsized!
Although I did feel really sorry for those brand new construction machines which were being carried as deck cargo and all of which fell into the sea as the vessel capsized!
For that vessel to have been lost like that does lead one to suspect mishandling by the bridge crew, as stability was so catastrophically lost so quickly!
Ballasting should have addressed any stability issues encountered, but she went from being okay to fully capsized in a heartbeat!
I suppose it'll all now be about insurance claims, but the most important thing is that all the Crew were safe!
Knowing exactly how this capsizing occurred would hopefully prevent it occuring to someone else…
YaY, Maritime Ooopsie's, Steady as She Goes News.
The same person can be heard yelling an exclamation after the first two incidents. The cops should be looking for someone with a high pitched voice who has travelled from the Gulf of Mexico to Indonesia, and the military should be asking how he could create lightning to order.
If you making 3 minute videos there's no time for a stupid fucking intro like that delete the intro no need
Holy crap he must have had the Harmony in a full-on drift turn to do that! Obviously, they spotted the raft late (as you would) and were concerned there may be survivors on board.
THANKS ESYSMAN FOR SHARING THIS WITH US AND NO LOSS OF LIFE.🤗👍💚💚💚
So NO Problem…GOING OVERTIME 😁
Those big cruise ships are set up to make you feel like you are safe at a resort hotel, but you are AT SEA and the sea always rules. 🌊🌊🌊🧓🏼
Glad everyone is safe.
The power of Mother Nature is beautiful as she is deadly. Respect.
How did the boat in Belgium think it could clear that bridge? It didn't look like a draw bridge. Even it was…….
Not sure if the video is at the right speed or looking at ship capsizing is just very very slow-mo dramatic…eheh
Hitting the bridge… that wasn't even close. It wasn't like they scraped the top of the super structure and bent an antenna.
I expected more uploads when this channel started. It will take at least one a week to get it rolling.
I wonder about those last 2. No horns on 3 vessels?
Good channel.
Hard to understand in these times ships colliding. Shows training is poor and attention to details is lacking
Look at the position of the rudders in the thumbnail.
What about the raft?
EVEN ON YOUR RECEIPT, FROM THE COFFEE SHOPS IN AMSTERDAM, IT WARNS YOU,, "DO NOT OPERATE MACHINERY, AFTER SMOKING"… THE SKIPPER EVEN GOT CONFIRMATION OF THE SHIPS CAT, THAT THE BRIDGE WAS DEFINITELY UP… FOCUS POCUS
Ship hit by lightning,,,,shows ship clearly not hit by lightning…otherwise great content
Lightning is an electrical discharge. LightEning is making something lighter. I suppose a lightning strike could make things lighter, but it's debatable. English is a bitch of a language – so hard to get right, yet so many other people manage very well.
Only 40 tons of diesel for a capsize?
I guess they found a captain license as free gift in a laundry detergent box!
Esysman voice 😊
Oh, how horrible! That's why I laugh everytime a weatherman says, "the storm went safely out to sea". You only have to know a long time sailor to realize how stupid that statement is.
Oh another esysman channel with interesting news 🙂
Also great to hear that crew is safe and no one got hurt!
@2:28 – holy crap. I expected it to be an optical illusion and for the bow of the ship to pass under the bridge, hence hitting it with the superstructure. But reality blew my mind. 😲
I live close to IJmuiden and understand from several news reports that that ferry was wrong and should have waited for the upcoming barge.
