I began using a 2 oz Sea Striker Spoon with a big circle hook on it. I like circle hooks because they don’t get hung up on rocks as much but I wasn’t catching nearly as many fish as Yong so I switched to a treble hook and finally landed a few. You can see Yong’s cadence, which is a big double twitch, then letting the spoon flutter back to the bottom.

Just a quick comment ,love your channel and content, Do you guys not eat Redfish out there? Here on the East Coast, it is a very coveted fish to eat. I don't expect you'd keep them all ,but some of those guys look delicious!! And what about the sharks you and Thresher catch ? Those little guys are tasty as well!

I watched this vid on sat 7/9 bought some spoons that day fished early sun morning, only brought the spoons to packery north jetty right on the end, bait fish were schooling, casted right in caught a 20" trout then caught a Spanish mac, thanks Jeff I am sold. Anyone have a site I can buy the 2 oz in bulk? I want to buy 10 or 20 2oz , I lost 2 or three in 2 hours on jetti and they are expensive. I could not find anything larger than 1 1/4 oz at academy ….

Good times! I went out around the date you posted and the same south pac jetties was holding a massive school of reds all day. Boats came up and scared them away from jetties so I grabbed my kayak and had fun all day using my Yo-zuri 3D minnow.
Will that spoon work in the surf too

Dude… Awesome video… I just started fishing the jetties again after a 3 year hiatus from fishing in general… I haven't tried the south packery jetty yet… I need to get some updated gear for the jetties as a matter of fact… any suggestions… I know i want to try spoons for sure after watching this video…
