You’re really gonna make me defend OU huh…..

Scott H.

QB1 needs all the reps he can get to set up next year. His 75% is better than Cards 100%. IMO.

Ant Man

Yawn! Yeah how impressive

Joseph Gomes

5 and 7 is still a possibility. We could loose all the games after Iowa State.

It's like pulling teeth to get these two dipshits to admit that an injured Hudson Card is playing his ass off. THEE most underappreciated player on the team……….by a mile. Let's be totally honest, Ewers was 16/24 225 2 td/1 int vs La Monroe. He was 9-12 vs Bama in 1 1/2 QTRS. Six of those completions were either dump offs to the rb's or crossing routes of 15 yds to J. Weddington. Taking nothing away from Ewers ………but with that VERY small sample of what he can do, I'm not ready (and nobody else should either) to anoint him, the "next" Tom Brady. If I'm Sark, Card starts till Card 's not playing well.

T. Howard

Hudson Card ‘was pretty good’. QE the exact same stat line ‘he’s the Heisman favorite’!! Card still working through a high ankle sprang. Idiots.

If Texas can bounce back from 5-7 then I'm sure ou will be fine in the coming seasons. Horns gotta stay focused in regards to next week! Plus didn't tcu smack us around like 55-10 in 2016 right before the RRS.

Jay Lee

It is a terrible mistake to pretend like OU is some horrible team. They played two really bad games in a row, which is something we have seen Texas do many times over the last 15 years. OU is completely capable of coming out next week and playing great. In fact, I'd say it's highly likely they will. They have a winning culture there, and that's as valuable as anything else. It's the thing we have dreamt of having.
All that's happening right now is the continuation of parody that we have seen increase over the last several years. The best way to explain it is that on any given Saturday good teams are playing poorly and average or below average teams are playing above their own head and beating the good teams. Things will eventually settle down as teams get better and start to get more consistent as the season goes on. Two week from now the divide in the big 12 will start to become apparent, and we will know who everyone is and where they stand..
As far as this upcoming weekend for Texas….
I don't care who is on the field for either team next week. I bet on football and want to give everyone a fair warning. Most fans don't understand that wins and losses start the weekend before alot of the time. One of the best trends in college football to look for is when a team coming off a blowout loss, is playing a team coming off a blowout win. Add in the fact that this is a rivalry game and anything can happen, and you have a perfect recipe for Texas to get beat.
I'm not making a claim about what will or will not happen either way, but just be careful about writing OU off regardless of who's on the field for them

It’s a rivalry game for a reason. Records don’t matter on Saturday. It’s a must win for BOTH teams and coaches. This game could get wild, and I have no idea which Texas team will show up. And let’s not forget, early in the season you guys were singing Brent’s praises

Mike Roberson

So I guess the player only meeting was good.

I don’t care who OU has to play. They always come to compete against UT.

Nick.V

If you want to beat your opponents it starts with respecting them MEDIA CAN OVERLOOK OU BUT THE TEXAS PROGRAM BETTER NOT.

G-Mann

Can we stop with this "OU is so bad" talk? Every year, we have you guys say reckless things like this just to see other teams use that against us. OU has played really poorly, but Texas-OU games do not usually follow the narrative of the better team always winning. I once saw a very one-dimensional Texas team with Jerrod Heard at the helm that still beat OU, when talk heads like you had declared otherwise. Learn a bit of humility, both you and us Texas fans!
