Just found your channel, those prototypes, etc are super cool! Have you ever considered making a video about the hidden menu on the 5th generation iPod nano?

Before e-sim, I used to buy Hong Kong version of the iPhone. Those have physical dual-sim without restriction. The Chineese and Macu version are also dual-sim but with soft/hardware restrictions.

In 2030, we’ll have to pay a subscription to access the wifi menu.

People understood iPhone at that time wouldn't buy this model. They bought models with WIFI oversea. The rules were so stupid to protect their carriers' benefits.

I have a China-region iPhone 4. While it does have Wi-Fi connectivity, it never uses the term "Wi-Fi" and instead always refers to it as "WLAN". It also didn't have the stock YouTube app back on iOS 4 and neither did it have the option to have Google as the Safari search engine. The default Maps app also didn't use Google as the provider. These restrictions remained even if the region was set to somewhere like the USA in the settings or if the device was restored while located in a different country.

Is the hardware just disabled or was it never installed?
