I have a tracker on my motorbike too, after my previous bike was stolen. They will deal directly with the police if it is stolen in the UK, i think they would deal with insurance companies if abroad. Gives battery voltage etc, I don’t think it gives your mph figure though 🤔
Great advice we've got "Tracker" fitted on our van, but f**k knows where, haven't told us.
But just renewed subscription at £109 for a year, then I'll follow your example & get a cheaper option.
Mind you we've got a Stoplock, Milenco BC lock, Milenco wheel clamp, an OBD port lock, Alarm/ immobilizer & window locks, so that will slow them up a lot..
Oh & 3 camera's on our property covering the parking etc 😁.

Not quite sure how it automaticially connects to WI-FI abroad, a mobile GSM signal , yes.
I have never not for years been asked about a tracker , installed, be it a van, motorbike or my car !
Also, the tracker has to be an apporoved make and model to apply any discount.
The van conversion had to be carried out by an apporoved van converter along with mandatory gas and electrical inspections.
Putting in a bed and furniture and all the other creature comforts was not an option.
The above was on a Vito and also a Transporter.

Funny thing that Neil , I’ve just re insured my van not only you need a tracker , & immobiliser , l found with mine for it be insured for theft from my drive you have to have a ground anchor ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️and a after market steering lock . They really don’t wanna pay out they will find a way to wriggle out of it

When I was working I did a defensive driving course to bring down the cost of the firms insurance with a police driving instructor and passed 100% so I was dead chuffed thinking I would get cheaper insurance,When it came time to renew I Rang my insurer for a quote and told the girl about passing the course, she told me she knew the call was,nt being recorded for training or monitering purposes so she had,nt heard me because otherwise it would have put my premium up because I had passed the course so I might take more chances!!!
Regarding insurance…. You could do a whole thing on 'van' / 'camper' insurance…. What and when to insure something as just a van, a van as a 'van with windows', a camper and so on….
With how it records your speed, I wonder if insurance companies can use that against you in case of accident.

We’ve just changed insurance provider last week. Mate they are a rip off and you wouldn’t believe what supporting documents they are asking for from the underwriter department! It’s like I’m getting a mortgage! Also worth popping a Apple AirTag somewhere out the way as a back up…

Fantastic guys and not surprising at all, Insurance Companies will try wriggle out of any claim they are dispicable but, mighty quick at taking our money. To say you are not covered for theft from your van is ridiculos if no tracker is fitted what difference would that make when the Tea Leaf just smashed a window and nicked something the van wasn't stolen and the tracker is definately not going to find the ba****d. I think you will find that trackers need to be professionally fitted to be compliant with insurance requirements. Just checked with Comfort and a couple of others underwritten by Aviva

After your other vlog we bought the two types one for the MH and one for the car trailer. Brilliant. A couple of weeks ago went to fill up, forgot to turn it off and I nearly pooped myself as we had 2 mobiles screaming at us to say we had taken it outside the zone. Hubby is messaging about the battery and solar.
I have a carlok hard wired hidden in my MH wired to the leisure battery but the engine start is based on a voltage increase sensing so when the victron solar charger kicked in the morning I got a engine start warning alarm from the tracker so I had to fit a voltage stabilizer to eliminate the problem but they are a excellent piece of kit .
Some insurance if you don’t have motor caravan on your log book they will only pay out for a van at book price there is only a few companies who state you have to have a tracker
Guys I really like your channel but you have to be more honest about the Carlock. I had one on my van since I see you last video. Its NOT that good I am an android user and its not 100% compatible also you have to have a phone signal to get it to turn on and if you set it and loose signal you CANT turn it off. Also the shock sensor is total rubbish I can open all my doors and take all my bags out the van even shut the doors without it sensing and it's strapped to the body metal. Plus is this track acually insurance approved as I asked last year and they did not have it on the system. Please don't think I am being funny I am not, but it's just not as good as you say it is. And I have been talking to Carlock for ages.
