Funny. I hacked my P30 Pro so the universal app search has the Chinese characters. It was so I would have access to certain themes and watch faces. I never use the pull down search, so there's that. It's an Apple-like feature that is pointless. Android has a file system and lots of customization. The pull down search feature is useless if you know the very basics of Android.
Samsung should work to fix the folding screens so they dont have a 10-15 percent failu re rate in first few months, fold in general is a great Phone to use , slightly thinner version would make it easier to type , which , besides me and some friends dealing with screen issues and wasting time on waranty servises is a 2nd only turn off so far
So everyone is ignoring the fact that Samsung ONLY make the fold mechanism "bad" in peoples eyes because it allow the phone for be IPX8 rated ? No other fold phone with better fold mechanism is IPX8 rated. Just don't see why people chose to avoid this fact when it's so damn obvious xD
For me, someone who's been using a Note for a few generations want's a pocketable tablet replacement. I'm also part of the dwindling group of Note users that actually uses the Spen. I don't carry a bag which is why I don't carry around a tablet with me, so I'm also not going to lug around separate stylus. For me, the ideal product would be a thinner Fold that I can carry in my pocket and still has the silo for the spen. Make it happen Samsung.
Samsung is going downhill IMO and I say this as someone who refuses to buy anything designed and manufactured in China. They're starting to implement the same crap Apple does to force people to stick with their eco system. S21 Ultra was the last phone Samsung has released in the last few years that matches what I want in a phone. These folds have crap battery life, front screen is too slim, nowhere near worth the $3000 CAD they're asking for. S22U is a Note which has never been appealing to me and the S22+ and S22 would be a downgrade. From what I've seen S23 is going to be the same situation. I might just switch back to Apple after 6 years of being loyal to Samsung even though they have their own downsides including being manufactured in China. Only difference is the CCP has no control over Apple.
Samsung is going the way of the dark side because they are removing features many people want like the headphone jack and the extra memory slot. After the Note 20 ultra I will most likely look for another brand.
The OS support of Huawei is poor! The fact that they have no Google services didn't make me switch to another manufacturer, the lack of updates made me quit them! On my last Huawei phone (P40 Pro) i had received February security update in August..imagine that!
I'd never buy a phone from China because I dont like the country and I dont trust the technology. Dont think this phone is sold in the US for certain reasons.
Chinese tech companies do some real shady tech steals tho. They offer ridiculously huge salaries to Samsung developers to move to their company and leak Samsung tech, which they take and then fire the developers after a year or two bc they dont need them anymore. There’s a reason why it looks like theyre catching up so fast even when they got into the game later than Samsung.

It's not going to be cheaper outside China, it's not going to last either as they use a outdated design so it's not water or dust proof and every little piece of dust and sand is going to destroy the screen when it's folded flat like that, not to mention the force of it closing is properly going to hurt it too. And then there is the software/bloat ware of Chinese things, now I do own a robot vacuum cleaner made by Xiaomi, but I made damn sure the software was made elsewhere, as I do work in the home electronics marked and Chinese are good at copying concepts, but they can't really innovate or do software without making errors in it.

I have used xiaomi phones for years.I just ibstall a new launcher, I use microsoft, that fixes the regional issues on the examples I have used.

I have the fold 4, nothing I have ever owned compares to it in all honestly. That's saying something considering I have a amazing gaming PC.
