This may be reaching, but what if BB’s darkness fruit is actually also a mythical zoan, model Lunarian? I mean, BB is already the exact opposite of Luffy, who is the sun god. Lunarian=Luna=Moon=Literally night and day. BB’s awakening could be the ability to bend fire, so maybe to equal it out Oda’ll have Sabo join Luffy vs. BB. i think when you compared luffy to roger. roger was alot older than luffy in what weve seen, so i think it makes sense he has a more goal oriented focus. luffy is still a kid and when your a kid all you want to do is have fun and be free. In my opinion when roger was luffys age i bet he was similiar to luffy

Information works the same way in real life. Take Blackbeard for instance; First we were all shocked by him gaining a second devil fruit, then we started to theorise if it was possible for him to eat a third one which evolved into theorising which fruit it would be in that case. Now however it seems like the fanbase is determined that it's a fact that he has three devil fruits and the question is only "which is the third?", even though not a single piece of anything at all has been revealed after he took Whitebeard's.

Imu-sama was an enemy of Joy Boy.
There were two kings around before the Void Century:
Joy Boy and Imu-sama, Joy Boy being from the clan of D and Imu-sama being from the clan of the nowadays called Celestial Dragons.
The giant SH that was preserved in Marijoa was Joy Boy's, the one Luffy wears used to be Imu-samas = the 2 Straw Hats representing two crowns = two kings.
Imu-sama plotted against the clan of D's, the clan of D's got backstabbed. My guess is that they had some great wisdom in science and technology (Dr. Vegapunk is probably a D himself) which he/she wanted to get advantage of.
They knew that they were about to be massacred. In order to take revenge in the future they came up with a back up plan = moving their souls into the Devil Three which brought life to the Devil Fruits (aka the previous souls of the D people have been preserved in the fruits).

I think that the two devil fruits thing is true, maybe thats the reason why BB was specifically looking for that fruit, because it has the ability to absorb other DFs. if you could just eat as many DFs as you wanted that would make the story kind of boring. I like that you only get one chance at gaining a DF power.
