Your stuff is great info! Are you using the small 3" critter Craw or the big 4" one?
Flat heads eat spots and everything else. If you want to catch sports there again eat the flat head. Flat heads homestead as long there is something to eat.

The video could be improved. I suggest, that at the end when Richard does the WOOOOOO bit .. he swan dives out of the boat bare chested.. provided he can swim to get back to the boat. Maybe Momma Sue could scoop him up in an x-tra large dip net. Richard could even wear a silk RG cape for added effect. Prob get a million youtube hits.

Flatheads hits great on bass lures, when the water is a little dirty I throw a white paddle tail swim bait with the red eyes on it and I catch tremendous amounts of flatheads and smallies

Bitsy bug and bitsy flip jigs are my favorite finesse jigs. The bitsy flip has a wider gap hook leaving more room for a trailer. A three inch chiggercrawl is the stuff. Thanks for the info of your modification to the jig. I’m gonna try it.
I have fished a local quarry pond for many years and caught some nice fish, always throw purple or pumkinseed natural colors . I toss out a black and chartreuse beetle spin color plastic swim bait and caught a 8 lb bass, and 2 big catfish in three casts. Try black and chartreuse plastics
